I know I do!

I would tear my sister a new one! I'm sorry you're related to such a biotch. :-(

So I just completed the calculations and my BMR is supposedly 2100 and my TDEE is 2500. TDEE- %20 would be 2000 calories a day. Eating 2000 calories a day is how I gained 50 lbs over the past two years though. :/

My name is Grace and my husband calls me Gracer. Original, I know.

Thanks! See above. I also have 100+ lbs to lose, so definitely not at a healthy weight!

Yes, I weigh my food and I wear a HRM while I work out as to accurately track calories burned. I also do lifting/weight training every other day, so 3-4 days a week and cardio/muscle resting on the others. I've gone to see my doctor, but unfortunately she was absolutely no help. I fear I may just have an extremely low…

Can people who are saying to eat more offer other feedback for those who do eat more and still don't lose? I was only losing about 0.5-1.0 lb per week when I was netting 1200 calories, so I followed the advice to eat more (net 1650) and over the course of 8 weeks I have maintained, if not *gained* weight.

Cold cereal. I can't EVER eat just one serving.

I've been eating 1600 net each day as recommended by MFP (burn 500 calories a day, so 2100 total calories), but I haven't lost any weight in two months. I know that's the opposite of a success story, but if anyone could offer some insight, that would be amazing!

Wow, MIL from hell! The marriage is in a rough spot so she contacts her son's exes......WTH?! :noway:

Big difference! How far apart were those photos taken? :)

I recently turned 25 and I've always had trouble with weight. My highest weight was 350lbs in college, and I was able to lose 100lbs in about 7 months when I was 21. I kept the weight off completely for over a year, but eventually it started creeping back (I'm blaming marriage, haha) and I gained 50lbs by the time I turned…

Breakfast burritos are a great idea. You can make a whole pan full of them ahead of time and freeze them for later! Sometimes I have breakfast burritos, sometimes clif bars, sometimes a two degree bar, and sometimes something more complicated (french toast, omelet, homemade oatmeal, salmon, etc). I try to stay away from…

YES!

OP, emulate this man. :)

What if the basics aren't really working for someone?

That's probably one of the best ways to handle intimacy/insecurity issues! Definitely better than dismissing her feelings, undermining her wishes, and trying to control her behaviors. And as a bonus, intimate hugs release Oxytocin in the brain! I honestly just don't believe the problem lies in how OP's wife views herself.
-
My main concern is that we are certainly only seeing one side of the story. I'm not so sure showing his spouse the entire OP would be the best decision.

Wanna see my swallow?

I always wear it up. I saw a girl with her hair down at the gym the other day and it really did seem like a hindrance. Pretty sure she didn't want to let it get sweaty... during a workout. :noway:

Haha, we think alike!

Hmm, my husband loves that I don't dress up because it says that I don't base my self worth on societal norms and gender stereotypes. That's not to say that I never have my insecure moments, but I am comfortable in our relationship and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that my spouse finds me hot! So, pretty much the…

I do not miss grad school! I'd try to stick to a strict routine that included packing a gym bag with clothes, towel, shower stuff etc so that I could go to the gym right after work on my way to class each day. It's going to suck in the beginning, but you will soon adjust and may even find that you have more energy!…

Haha, agreed!! It looks like he is dressed up with his wife for some award that his daughter won. Homecoming queen perhaps?

Manscaping isn't necessary in our household. My husband seems super proud of his never-been-trimmed nether regions. I just roll my eyes.
-
I'm definitely going to be following this.....whatever I'm doing right now isn't working, so looking for some success stories!
-
I definitely do my fair share of research, but for me, the forums offer personal experience and anecdotal advice. You may have to take it with a grain of salt, but it can also be tremendously helpful.

At this point I'm thinking a doctor's appointment is in order, but my PC doctor is an idiot... :(
-
My bank account stops me!! Stopping for food is simply not a wise financial decision, especially when I have smart purchases waiting at home for me :) Try specifically packing a snack for the drive home.

My feelings as well :)
