I don't have a specific treat day. But I wouldn't deprive myself if it was a special occassion and I would log it. Although I do have a little holiday next month and that will be an MFP holiday too but I'll make sensible choices while I'm away with the odd treat. And start again when I come back.

I think I'm just a creature of habit and once I got the hang of it, it stuck. And personaly I think once a week is fine I don't want to get hung up on small fluctuations and using the same scales for that reason too. But no problems here so far with any of it and as an expat I'm loving the fact that there's Cypriot food in…

Saturday morning here. Before a cooked breakfast and always first thing.

Yes he can be unreasonable and didn't get involved in his own daughter's weight issues but this isn't about him. It's not an excuse. I am going to do this. I'm doing it for me and my health and my future. It's working. I'm not going to stop and I'm very positive and motivated. I'm asking if I should be adding vanity to the…

Well the person in question is my stepfather. He only knows about this as my mother was with me when the Dr told me and she has worked in nutrition for years although neither of them are skinny! But probably top of healthy range. I'm short myself but my weight is evenly distributed. Big in the T & A department, chunky legs…

Hi. I'm very familiar with WW and whilst it's never worked for me I do like the recipies. A lot of the food is on here. You've come a long way. You can do this on your own, you'll still have the program material and recipies. Hold on to the positives you got from the origional leader. You can easily shift the rest using…

Thanks All. You're all right. I suppose I have always been comfortable with myself no matter what size I am. To me, my size isn't the reason I look good in that pic, I was tanned, in a lovely very posh frock, just had hair done etc so anyone of any size looks their best in that situation. Thanks all for your replies. It's…

I think you're spot on with this too! I'm on here for support and I've not told my friends in real life as some are diet and fitness obsessives and I want to do this my way and at my own pace. One of my friends goes to WW, works in a gym, has a nutritionist and a PT & is now studying to qualify herself. She's been begging…

Cutting down on the carbs is helping me. I've been told a sandwich is far too much bread for me to cope with. But I don't like the idea that I'll never eat one again! I try to only have bread with lunch if I haven't had much in the way of carbs at breakfast If I was going out for lunch and a sandwich was the best option…

Tell me about it! My physio thinks the muscle problems are mineral defficiency. One of the consultants told me to come off my supplements but wont prescribe new ones until they've checked the levels of everything in my blood yet they'll hand these out no probs! Certainly have a strange approach here. I miss the NHS!

Thanks all! Not many positives then! Thing is I have about 4 consultants working on my case. I don't speak their language & they always seem to be arguing. They didn't tell me I had a cholestrol problem. But I didn't think to ask what it was. When I was first ill I was flagged up as morbidly obese. A wake up call as I…

Just buying something that doesn't have lycra in it will be a massive breakthrough for me!
