  • The snacks proposed in the previous post would be good, but I wonder if you want to have a meal or a snack. For me, waiting until 8:30 for dinner just wouldn't work. I would be ravenous and if I eat a full meal that late it interferes with my sleep. So maybe you need a portable meal instead of just a snack. Add an apple or…

  • I have the same problem. Me in the mirror looks ok to me, but a photo of me tells the truth. So, that is how I can tell what that new outfit looks on me--by looking at a picture of me wearing it. Enlist someone else to take a pic, or set up your camera with 10 second delay to snap a shot.

  • I too have been struggling with pain and getting back into a fitness regime. I have been doing water aerobics since September and find them very helpful. They are gentler on joints. Sometime I still have to modify exercises if they hurt injured joints.

I started water aerobics in Sept (2012). I went twice a week and the exercises did make me sore, but not as sore as gym workouts. I was…
  • I started dieting at 14 too and was an expert at all the fad diets. I yo-yo dieted for decades, but as I got older, the diets began to be less successful. Even when they worked, the weight loss was only temporary. I think MFP is a sensible approach. Good luck to all.
