bummer...but thanks for saving me the frustration of running upstairs and saying to my hub 'hey, let's look at the exercise stuff they have on NETFLIX' please, please. (kicking him out of whatever game he may be playing only to discover the choice isn't there) lol. I'll start searching for them daily too and see if they…

Although it may not have an impact while you are young, too much sodium does contribute to hypertension (which in turn can lead to cardiovascular and renal issues - and more). If you are interested, google 'stroke prevention' 'heart health' for more info. I'm a hypertension researcher, but i'm at work, lol and can't really…

I'm in Ontario. The best Greek yoghurt is Liberte. a ton of different varieties (0% fat to regular to desert ones...which are sooo good and sooo bad, LOL). I buy it at Fortinos, but it is also available in local health food stores.
-
a tiny bit of pure vanilla extract! and of course fresh fruit
-
I would suggest any kind of Greek yoghurt. It is high in protein. You can get it with 0% fat which reduces the calories.

I eat oatmeal almost every morning. 1/3 cup of large flake oats, 2/3 cup of water, throw it in the microwave for 3 minutes while i'm making my lunch for work. I keep bags of frozen raspberries, blueberries and cranberries in the freezer and often throw a handful in before i put it in the microwave, comes out sweet, never…

I'd tell him that you appreciate his kindness and efforts to cheer you up but that you would prefer he brings you something like a flower or a bouquet of flowers that lasts longer than something you can eat. you can put on it your desk and tell him that way you'll think of him every time you look at it. :-)

Lovely photos of a beautiful day! Fabulous here in southern Ontario Canada too (but then we're fairly close to you in the scheme of things). Took my mum out for drive in the country to pick up bird food at farm seed supply place, went to a big garden center and wandered around and picked up some pansies. Been doing yard…

Totally no movement this week, but i guess that's better than 'up'. I so wanted to hit 1derland this week though *sigh* last week: 200 this week: 200

Blueberries, Kiwi fruit, raspberries, blackberries, gala apples - all of these things get put into my morning oatmeal in various combinations with a scoop of ... Liberte Greek Yoghurt (0%fat, vanilla), Liberte tzatziki - great for dipping raw veggies in, and also for dipping in melba toasts if you eat them freerange eggs…

I log Zumba as high impact aerobics. The calories may be a bit less but that's better than over-inflating them. As for eating my exercise calories. I try to maintain a minimum of 1200 cals a day, so if i exercise and have net to eat I will eat something healthy like greek yoghurt, almonds, peanut butter, etc. to get as…

You should try carrying something that is equivalent to 12 pounds around the house for a little while and you will realize just what a difference you have made for yourself already! Congratulations on your success to date, you're on the right path. I've lost 23 pounds and am only just starting to really feel the 'give' in…

I found this thread just like a pound of bacon...I had to read every post in the thread just like I'd want to eat every slice in the package! I love bacon and used to eat quite a lot of it but it's not something I'll cook for myself anymore (I just pinch 1/2 a slice off my husband's plate once in a while and inhale the…

Never had one, always wanted to get one. I have family and friends who swear by them.

I haven't seen a Yoga for Kinect yet. We have 'Your Shape' which has Tai Chi classes as well as personal training, cardio boxing and other assorted cardios workouts. We love it! I will buy a yoga disc once they come up with one though. cheers!

I just finished a 70 minute non-stop cardio work-out and was way below my daily goal (and HUNGRY). I had 0%fat vanilla greek yoghurt (high in protein) and honey (organic) (for the carbs). Great combination to get both the protein and carbs you need. You can add fruit too.
