Friend request sent! :) I'm 243 right now, working on 170-160.

I'm 5'9 and 243 right now. My goal weight at the moment is 170 and then I figure I'll reassess from there.

Tattoo.

This got followed up by my boyfriend telling me today as i was leaving for the gym that he could see a difference already He's a little sad that my boobs and butt are "melting away", but it made me feel good that it was enough that someone who sees me every day could tell.

Yep! I have a few other things that are too small, so I can't wait for those to fit as well. It's a pretty good incentive to keep this going.
-
I feel like it's almost more exciting to fit into something that used to be too small than to have your normal clothes be getting loose.

Anyone can feel free to add me. The more support the better :)

Anyone, feel free to add me. The more friends the better :)

Ugh, this is the answer that I was afraid of...Anyone have recommendations for a good, CHEAP HRM?
-
Buying a HRM is pretty much not going to happen. I'm on an extremely tight budget right now. I'm only able to go to the gym because my apartment complex has a fitness center that's free to residents.

You're my goal twin! I'm 24, 243 and looking to get to at least 170 before September. Sending you a friend request now!

It has definitely been work getting myself to remember that more is actually better, but I've been trying hard to be sure I eat all the allotted calories. This was my first week, so starting tomorrow I'm going to start planning more and trying to make sure I get to that goal.
-
Ha, yeah, I guess I did! It just seems so backward from everything I've been told that eating more will result in weight loss.
-
Ok that's what I was thinking, but it seemed too good to be true, haha. Guess I can have some of the football Sunday goodies I've been avoiding. :) I'll have to add some more into my diet next week, just have to get into a routine and get the hang of this.
-
I know how you feel! I haven't weighed myself yet, since this is the first full week. I don't want to get in a habit of weighing myself more than every 2 weeks so that I'm not discouraged. I've been reading that you should eat back your exercise calories also, so I've been making sure I'm AT LEAST at 1200 net.
-
The deficit needed to lose weight is already factored into your daily goal, isn't it? If so, then I feel like the weekly goal is with the deficit taken into account as well.
-
Check out nutritionix.com also. I found this tonight, and so far it seems like it'll be a pretty handy resource.

I have a goal of 73 by August for a wedding. Currently set to lose 2 pounds a week, and doing 60 minutes of cardio AT LEAST 5 days a week. I can already tell its going to take a lot of encouragement and dedication. It's seeming almost impossible right now.

Yep, it's all about switching things out. I did salad instead of fries with balsamic vinegar and probably saved myself about 250 calories. I sat there for a good 10 minutes going through that giant nutrition menu trying to decide what I could eat that would fit the amount of calories I had left. It was pretty intimidating…

Tonight I went out to eat with my boyfriend, we usually do that every Friday and when he asked where I wanted to go, the first thing I said was "well, I have to be able to track it!" We ended up going to Red Robin, I asked for the nutritional menu (which was kind of horrifying actually) and chose from that. Later I was…

Anyone can add me. I'm 230 right now, working toward at least 170 by September. Could definitely use some friends in the same boat, as right now it's looking like a pretty daunting task...

When I'm doing my strength training, nothing. There's usually music playing, but I mostly concentrate on counting my reps. I do cardio for an hour every day, and I usually watch a movie or tv show on my iPhone to make it go a little faster. I still get in 11-13 miles each time, and I work up a pretty nice sweat, so I don't…
