  • I don't really see budgeting your calories so that you can eat a food you enjoy as "cheating." Many people I know will consider a cheat day to be not worrying at all about what they eat for the day, and often end up eating as much junk as possible because they "can," rather than just eating a larger meal or treat. I think…
  • Have to agree. I did buy a food scale for better accuracy with things like meat, but I was losing weight just fine before that, and my measuring cup estimations were pretty accurate. It seems sort of common sense that you can't just heap everything way over the top and still call it a cup.
  • I'm in college and finally losing the weight! I gained most of it in college as well, unfortunately. I only recently realized how unhealthy even the "healthy" choices at the school cafeterias are, so most of the time I make my own lunch (which is cheaper anyway), and when I don't I'm pretty careful on campus. I don't do…

  • I was actually just wondering the same thing- I have trouble staying under on sodium as well.
  • I drink about 2 gallons a day, but I always have. I like water and I don't drink anything else. It certainly didn't keep me from gaining the weight and I don't think it's making me lose any faster, so just drink enough to stay hydrated.
  • I had chronic migraines for many years- just recently I figured out that chocolate was one of my biggest triggers. There are a crazy amount of possibilities though, and everyone's different, so if this is a frequent issue for you it would be a good idea to see a doctor. There are a lot of options before you even think…
  • I know most people will say total deprivation of snacks doesn't work, and for a lot of people it doesn't. But for me it was a great start. I decided to cut out chocolate to try to get rid of chronic migraines, and I figured I'd cut out all desserts while I was at it. Two weeks later, I had a brownie- and wow, it was…
