I lift weights or do HIIT cardio at 5:30 AM most mornings and so far my energy/intensity levels have been fine. I also do 16/8…

I have been experimenting with a grain free diet for several months and have recently been transitionaing to a LCHF diet. I have been studying Paleo, Primal, and most recently Diet Doctor and Eating Academy. All great resources and all have their differences too. My doctor wanted to put me on Crestor (a Statin drug) to lower my cholesterol. I was eating pretty decent at the time and was at a healthy weight due to increased exercise and using MFP to plan and…

I switched to DB several years ago, but occaisionally do Barbell to see if I am retaining strength --- so far so good even though the combined weight of two DB is far less than the barbell…

I have been using a HRM for my workouts for several months now and have experienced the same effects. The Calories burned calculation is based on average heart rate for the duration of the workout. So when I first begin a new "challenging" workout (like Insanity) the first time or two that I do it I will typically pause…

I use Whey Protein powder to increase my protein intake without significantly increasing Fat and Carbs. Just mix a scoop with 8 oz water and drink and you can add 25 - 30g of protein to your diet without even chewing. There are many brands and flavors to choose from. I personally prefer Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey…
