  • I didn't buy the select tech 552's but I bought something with a similar design from Sears. I like them. I see the 552's are on sale on amazon right now.
  • I like the workouts. I agree the production isn't the best. You should see the Brazillian Butt Lift videos. One minute it's a group of women working out with him in the studio and the next minute it's a group of women working out with him on the beach. Different women! It randomly flips back and forth between them and you…
  • I did the shoulders/arms one and the cardio challenge since then. MUCH better than Tabata Inferno!! What do you think of Sally? I think she's an amazon woman. She scares me!! I'd like to see her in a fight with Tanya from Insanity.
  • Tabata Inferno is the reason I'm awake in the wee hours of the morning. Ouch!
  • It's funny because with Insanity/Turbo Fire/CLX I knew i was kicking my butt. This one seems deceptively simple and then I can't move my body for three days!
  • Tell me...will I ever be able to do a pike on the ball? Ultimate Ball has been more of a comedy than a workout!! LOL
  • I mentioned the Pixel of Ink fb page/website that tells you about free/discounted books. Today I discovered that there is a Pixel of Ink - Young Addtion fb page/website for books for kids. Had to share.
  • You can do this with the kindle now too. You can also lend or get books from other people.
  • I resisted getting a kindle but I got one for my birthday and I LOVE IT!! For anyone else who has kindle/nook/ereaders in general, if you like "pixel of ink" on facebook or go to their website www.pixelofink.com it will tell you about books that are free or deeply discounted each day. I have found tons of books that way.…
  • I love Turbo Fire. You can do it. The moves can be tricky at first but if you stick with it, you'll figure them out. Even if you keep messign them up...you're still moving! The music is fun and gets stuck in your head all day long. I also have Chalene Extreme and I like that one too.
  • I can't eat before I work out when I do it first thing in the morning. If I do it later in the day, food before doesn't bother me. It's just something about the early morning workout/food combo that makes me queasy!
  • Congrats on the 35 pound loss!! I would talk to your doctor. I had kids at 31 and 35. 29 only feels old when you are 29! After your 30's 29 looks pretty good. LOL Best wishes!
  • I attempted to nurse all three of my kids. My oldest was a preemie and wouldn't latch on no matter what I did. The other two each had their own issues but both nursed for a really long time. I know plenty of women that tried everything they could to nurse and it just didn't work out for them. If nursing was so simple for…
  • All of that! Get yourself a good pair of shoes and a tape measure. It's a lot of fun. You'll hate him and love him at the same time.
  • I just bought it but only have only done workout so far. I think you'll be ok.
  • I couldn't do it. I felt like I had rocks in my chest. Tomorrow is another day!
  • I'm here. I've been sick and my kids have been sick. Today was the first day I've done any kind of workout in a while. Running is on the menu for nap time. We'll see if I can run as far as I could before I fell off the wagon. Let's hope so.
  • I'm sorry. I don't even like preggo comments when I am preggo!! I am also the parent of a 2 year old who has recently started vocalizing the most embarassing comments: why is your stomach so big? where did your hair go? For every big mouthed little kid there is a parent thinking of duct taping their mouths closed…
  • Have you ever had your thyroid checked? My thyroid decided to slow down after my first two kids. That was part of my problem. Jogging and coffee in the morning seem to help me quite a bit.
  • When I remarried I had a son from my first marriage. There were plenty of times when I was caught in the middle between my son and my husband. I've had to talk my husband down off the ledge and get him to let me handle the discipline and I've had to get after my son to be respectful. In the early years I was always upset…
  • I like how the women all support each other. I'd prefer that same relationship but each having their own husband. That's just too much to handle for me. It looks too complicated! Since they moved and they are all in their own houses, it looks even crazier. How in the world do they pay for 4 huge houses and all those kids??
  • I slow down for the runners/walkers/bike riders as well. I think it's in your mind. I always think "I wish I could do that!" when I see them. I'm on Week 8 now so I can!! Keep going! Who cares what anyone thinks any way.
  • W8D1-done! I had to really push myself to keep going but I stayed alive! Woo hoo!! Sweet-Is that like a Spartan Sprint or a Warrior Dash or something else all together?
  • Jenny-Glad to hear the surgery went well. I can't imagine trying to keep an 11 month old from using her arm! I hope she's even better today and you both get some rest. I know how physically and emotionally exhausting all this must have been for you. Today will be the start of Week 8 for me. So far I'm moving at a snail's…
  • W7D3-done! Took me forever to get to this one because I was still in a turkey/dessert haze from Thanksgiving. I feel like I've never ran before but I made it. Maybe the next one will feel better. Calibri-Nice work!! I was thinking the same thing when I was starting to fade today. Remember at the beginning when you couldn't…
  • W7D2-Done!! My legs felt fine, I didn't feel out of breath but I could NOT get rid of a side stitch. I'm not sure what the problem was but I hope it goes away before next time! Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone!
  • W7D1 Done!!! Honestly, it felt a 100 times easier than the first time I tried to run 20 minutes straight. I'd say whoever came up with this program knew their stuff. I'm just going to keep plugging along even when it looks like it will kill me. I might just surprise myself! (again!)
  • We were having a sarcastic snarky discussion about how he could ALSO help do homework with our kids once in a while. (Ok, I was sarcastic and snarky.) I said "If I die, be sure you check the bag." He asked "The body bag?" It was too good not to laugh.
  • Big hugs!! My oldest had surgery for backwards intestines at this exact same time of year and right before his 4th birthday (dec 1st baby). Just giving you a heads up....kids are really growly and aggitated when they wake up from from the anesthesia. I WAS prepared for that...sort of...until I found myself in this HUGE…
  • My grandmother died from uterine cancer. One aunt died from breast cancer. One uncle died from bladder cancer. An aunt & two uncles died from lung cancer. One uncle is currently battling non hodgkins lymphoma. I've already had a LEEP done for cervical carcinoma in situ and had several "scary" looking moles removed. You can…
