I don't consider it 'cheating' but the side effects sound so brutal and horrible. If I'm going to have to eat less and exercise more anyways, I would way rather do it without severe vitamin deficiencies, vomiting, "dumping", mysterious new allergies, pain, etc etc.

Someone I knew once rented a locker at a theme park to store a cake in because she didn't just want to eat a single slice at the park restaurant, she wanted to be able to eat a slice and then finish eating the entire cake by herself when she got back to her hotel. My "thinspiration", blows my mind to this day

I wish people would pay me $2k a month to watch me LOSE weight LOL

Depends on the pill, generally they're just caffeine pills or diuretics mixed with hopes, dreams, and unregulated herb concoctions.

I would feel fine 6 days out of the week and completely miserable the 7th. I only vomited maybe 4-5 times total, the rest of my sick days I had the worst migraines of my life. Hopefully you stay feeling relatively well!

My husband being on MFP and losing weight inspired me to join him! A positive example can be a great motivation.

I know that you can lose the pounds but the sizes? =/ There's no way of predicting how many pounds lost will equal a size lost and at your weight it may very well take more than 25 lbs. Just try to do what you can and don't stress if it doesn't work out perfectly.

Check out the national weight control registry if you need maintenance inspiration.

Taking away plus sized clothes is a good step but not good enough! I think fat people shouldn't be allowed to buy toothbrushes or hair brushes either! If they're going to be slobby and unhealthy they should really have to wallow in it!!!!!!

A year from now she's going to be throwing fits about how she can't eat more than a broccoli sandwich a day without gaining weight.

I actually donated a couple of nice, nearly new ~LARGE~ A&F women's shirts to goodwill just a few months ago. Guess I did the right thing! :drinker:

Maybe you should quit being such diet shaming jerks everyones body is different. I have done the fibonacci diet where I only eat foods shaped like a spiral for six weeks now and I have put on 17 lbs of mussels

I think it depends on the person really. For my husband and I, yes.

I want a psychedelic Anomalocaris tattoo.

Let me tell you from experience, I am glad I started a year ago and don't regret not losing faster at all. Focusing on small victories is the way to go. It's also nice to look at weight loss goals 10 lbs at a time (getting into the 260s, then the 250s, then the 240s etc). Hang in there! :flowerforyou:

You could be losing visceral fat as well.
-
Great job and congrats! I'm always so impressed by people that manage to cut their bf% like that for shows, amazing dedication and in such a short amount of time too!
-
People lose the weight doing stupid insane crash diets, lose a bunch of muscle mass, stop starving themselves and then gain it back as almost all fat.

I was in line behind a little old lady at the exotic pet shop once and she asked the counter guy for a bunny. Guy, snottily: "We don't sell pet bunnies, we only sell feeder rabbits for large reptiles. They're not very nice." Lady, exasperated: "I KNOW. It's for my 17 foot python." My hero.

A couple of bicep bros stood behind me and laughed at me once while I was squatting, saying things like "What is she even doing here? Mwahahaha" to each other. Thankfully it was only a couple months ago instead of at the beginning of my weight loss journey, I'm sure I would have cried for weeks. After they were done loling…

Another vote for this

Any smiling person. Unfortunately I'm afflicted with chronic betchface so no one ever smiles at me. :indifferent:

I'm going to have to get something to tame the empty belly while it deflates, LOL. So tired of wearing pants that are too baggy on the legs and snug at the waistband. Even my maternity clothes are reaching their limits. And I definitely agree on the personal autonomy thing. I'd like to be able to push myself harder in…

Juice cleanse?

Oh boy another one of these threads, I just love reading threads where a bunch of formerly/currently overweight people viciously tear down other overweight people because they just haven't seen the light yet.
-
I gained 5 lbs overnight that stuck around until maybe 12 weeks. It was just bloat. I think it's pretty common.
-
I think I spent the first couple weeks of T3 completely passed out, LOL. I just kept dragging myself to the gym and the initial misery faded pretty quickly. I don't have any real advice on backache but maybe try one of those maternity body pillows for sleep? I love mine, pretty sure it's called a Boppy.

Squats are notorious for this. Once you get used to them the soreness isn't nearly as bad. Give yourself a couple of days to recover before hitting those muscles again and keep at it! Good luck!

Bra shopping is the bane of my life. Even worse than jeans shopping at my highest weight.
