Sleeping is not an activity, it's part of life. It's already figured into your BMR, so you'd be counting it twice, essentially. Do not track sleeping as a form of activity.

I eat about 70-80% purely because I think MFP is way too generous with how many calories I do burn, but yes, I eat the majority of them. I agree that it can help give you a more accurate count of calories. If you're eating too many because of MFP's estimates, you will lose weight slower. It also sounds like you have room to improve since you said you drank a lot and ate a lot. Not trying to be mean, but you'll only get out of it what you put into it. Alcohol always slows down my weight loss as does eating high sodium/unhealthy foods. I think you should reevaluate your food choices and continue to exercise.…
