Seriously! They don't seem to like newbies much. Excuse me for participating in discussions. I thought that's what a forum was for.

Yes, you can try but ultimately you'll either succeed or fail after trying. That's what Yoda means. If you get stalled on trying to do something and never accomplish it, then technically you didn't do it.

I used to feel that way back in high school. I was sure that the reason I wasn't popular was my weight so I thought when I got to my goal weight, people would talk to me, I'd have lots of friends, and a boyfriend. Unfortunately, when I got to my goal weight, nothing changed. I was still invisible. That shocked and hurt me…

I live close to work so I go home for lunch. I need the break from the office to get through the day and I enjoy going home to see my kitties. I usually have a sandwich and/or salad while playing games on Facebook. I was going to be a smart-aleck and say whatever I can find in the refrigerator at work but I'm not one of…

I thought this question was going to be about do you feel that you're as fat as you really are or are you deluding yourself into thinking you look thinner. I'm all too aware of my fatness but sometimes I'm still shocked when I see pictures of myself taken by family or co-workers at events. I can photograph myself and use…

There's no reason you can't have cake. Choose small portions and plan for it in your food diary. If it takes too many calories to have it every day, maybe schedule one or two days during the week to allow yourself to have a piece of cake. You can buy single pieces of cake at many grocery stores and bakeries, or consider…

Don't feel like it's the end of the world because you make one mistake. A Dr Pepper and chips is not the end of the world and probably won't break the scales unless you make a habit of going over like this. One time when I was on a diet, I was being very strict about what I let myself eat. I ended up giving into temptation…

Taking pictures of food is fun! I may have found a new career/hobby. :) Here's what I had for supper: 1 pork rib, 1/2 cup black beans, and a cup of green beans sauteed with a sprinkle of soy sauce. 360 calories, 37 carbs, 13 fat, 24 protein

From the description, I think I prefer the Promiscuous Diet.

Like others have said, if you think you look fat when you're underweight, you just lack muscle tone.

I'd be happy to lose some of my boobs. I have an overabundance of boobage. You can always fluff up smaller boobs with padding if you feel you need to.

"No chocolate for me, thanks." "Eww, I hate bacon." "Gosh, I just love my job!!!!"

I'm 42. Don't know how that happened. It just crept up on me. I don't feel a day over 24. Actually, my knees do. They must have been transplanted from some old person one night while I was sleeping.

I've been drinking sparkling grape juice instead of Dr. Pepper. I don't know if it's any healthier. I'm thinking of switching to regular grape juice.

Wow, that's me, too! I'm a Dr. Pepper fan. I haven't had one since New Year's day when I had one at a party. I haven't sworn off it completely but I am trying to avoid it as much as possible. Even when I was drinking it regularly, I'd have no more than 2 cans per day. My mom limited my sister and I to that much while I was…

Yes, it will keep you fresh all day and keep out those pesky refrigerator odors. Plus, you're ready to go straight into the microwave!

Oh, jeez, I've been having an elicit affair with him for years and let me tell you, he's nothing but trouble! So tasty and satisfying, but leaves me feeling so guilty. I'm trying to kick him to the curb because I know he's no good for me but he's so tempting!!

What I want from a soul mate: - Non-smoker - Not religious - Must love cats!!! - Clean-cut, I'm not big on facial hair like beards and mustaches or guys with long hair - No tattoos or piercings - Must have a sense of humor - At the same time, must know when to be responsible. I'm not looking for a guy who thinks he's a…

I cringe at posting my weight but perhaps if I do it, I'll be more motivated to stick to my diet plan. I currently weigh 275.8, and that's after losing 3.8 pounds since joining this site a week ago. I can't wait to get under 200 pounds (haven't been there in 18 years) and hopefully never cross the 200 pound line again!!!

I try to get close to the amount of calories I'm supposed to eat each day. If I'm significantly under, I'll find something to eat. I don't want to set myself up to end up hungry later and get in the position where I'll make bad choices to tame my hunger. Plus, I don't want my body to go into starvation mode and cling to…

Personally, I use some of the calories I earn by exercising to supplement my diet. I don't feel like I have to squeeze out every calorie but it's nice to know there is some extra there if I need it. If at the end of the day you're satisfied with what you've eaten and feel like you don't need more, you don't have to spend…

My username came about when I signed up for my first hotmail name. I didn't want to use my real name because anyone can read your posts on the internet and on some forums, you might not want people to be able to track you down in real life. It seemed like every name I could think of was already taken, and I didn't want to…

My short-term goals: - Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. - I don't have to swear off soft drinks and fast food but I need to avoid having them on a daily basis, limit the portions I have when I do allow myself to have them, and plan for them on my tracker. - Get in 30 minutes of exercise at least 5 days a week. -…

I live a sedentary lifestyle so I only count activities over and above what I was doing in the normal course of running my life. I won't count shopping/walking around the mall or grocery store but I will count walking when I go out for the express purpose of doing it for exercise. I agree with douglanglois's post about…

I would recommend going to a nutritionist to have them help you come up with a weight loss plan that will fit your individual needs. After that, you can get support from the people at this forum to keep on track.

This is what I've heard, too. I admit I've been bad about eating late in the day. I used to skip breakfast, eat lunch, be hungry around 2:00 and eat a snack then, eat supper after work at 5, then eat another small meal (which I called a snack) around 8 while watching my favorite tv shows. Now I eat breakfast and try to eat…

Thanks, hamncheese! I got the link directly from photobucket and usually the cdase doesn't matter. I guess it does on this forum! I appreciate your assistance. :)

I usually eat off paper plates but since I was photographing this for you all, I put it on a plate and even took it out on the porch to get natural light in the picture. This was my lunch today: a hamburger patty (4 oz. raw), 1/2 cup whole kernal sweet corn, and a cup of spinach salad (1 cup spinach, 5 manzanilla olives, 1…

I wish I could "like" this post, as we do on Facebook. That's really impressive! Congratulations on your success. I can only hope to follow in your footsteps and someday be that close to my goal, too!
