Someone with puritanical ideology...
Actually, I'm probably most aligned with Eastern religion. An agnostic Buddhist. Hey, thanks for jumping to conclusions. The thread asked my thoughts. I gave my thoughts. You may accept or reject them as you wish. Namaste.

Welcome everyone. This is a frustrating time. if I don't do "everything" right, the weight just creeps up & up & up. I can gain 10 pounds in the course of 2 months. Glad we all have each other.

I would NOT accept a proposal from him. The two of you are one separate plains. Don't ignore your instincts. Men (and women) act a certain way before they are married, with glimpses of their true self coming through. After marraige, the real Joe and Mary come forward. If you do anything, date him for alot longer to see how…

I don't like them. Having a genetic daughter and 100 "adopted" daughters at the skating rink, I view the strippers as someone else's daughter. And, that makes me sad no matter how hard they try to look happy at their job.

If you are diabetic, then one serving of fruit a day is the max. If you are exercising (burning carbs), then you need more fruit.

I agree, start with the doctor. If it is thyroid or another health issue, then it will get alot worse if you stop your strict eating and exercise.

This may sound crazy, but do you know if we need bear cannisters? We usually use locking bins for dry food.

MSG - (google it, "MSG & Fat Lab Rats") Super sized sodas, candy, fast food, and too much bad food. Not enough exercise.

A founder of Hershey's chocolate, supposedly. Judge Harold Louderback, who was impeached. Thomas Franklin Louderback, Jr. , a linebacker in the National Football League for the Philadelphia Eagles. He also played in the American Football League for the Oakland Raiders and Buffalo Bills. ............and it shows. I love…

I am trying a low MSG diet with me and my family. Will let you know how it turns out. We are 1 week into it. We gave up aspartame a several years ago, after I read a large scale study between diet soda and kidney disease. I am giving up MSG because I know it makes food (factory food) taste good, which leads you to eat more…

LIke everyone else said, everyone is self absorbed at the gym. When we see a new (or heavier or elderly) person trying the gym, we are like, "YOU GO GIRL!!" Everyone at the gym is trying to be healthy, and really want to encourage everyone else. For me, i look hard at the restrooms and showers. I want super clean and a…

You need to decide for you. I know a woman who was very lopsided and she had hers done. She's very happy. I know another who was like a boy, and she had hers increased to a C and she's very happy. But, these are not 1 time surgeries. Implants need replaced eventually, sometimes need revision surgery, scar tissue, etc. And,…

I have to figure out how to link it to mfp . . . .

I totally agree with planning your meals, and not going (severly limiting) out to eat. The restaurants all serve junk anyhow. If you shop at Kroger or Publix, use www.iheartpublix.com or www.iheartkroger.com. These websites match the weekly deals to coupons (both online and newspaper). Publix in Florida - you can use 2…

Ask yourself 3 questions every time you spend money. #1) Can I afford it? #2) Do I need (as opposed to just want) it? #3) Do I already have something else that will do the same thing? Only if you answer yes, yes, no . . . can you actually spend the money on it.

Is it mandatory that you sit down? I know someone who "HAD" to stand up for her job because she had a bad back. She had her desk altered to bar height, a stool, but stood up most of the time. sHe was a tax accountant and was able to get more & better work completed becuase her blood was flowing.

Hiking, kayaking, and, OF COURSE figure skating.

Yes, I brought both my kids to the gym when I exercised there. THe gym even had fitness & nutrition classes for kids.

People with an emotional attachment to a vice don't respond to logical arguments against their vice. They will only respond to their own emotions, when they are ready to give up their vice. (At least that's what I've learned trying to get some of my family out of an abusive religous cult they are embroiled in.)

It's not a matter of saying something she didn't want to hear, it is a matter of saying something vulger. It's not what you say, it's how you said it.

Women and men can be just friends. I have male friends and my husband has female friends. My one friend & I worked for years at Deloitte, worked together at a company afterwards, he calls me for my birthday, and visited me in the hospital when I had a second baby. I know him and his wife and kids, and will help out that…

This is a sign for you, to at least, pause in this relationship. Have you done anything to make your fiance suspicious? Have you talked alot about your trainer to your fiance? How does your fiance know of the trainer? I mean, I can see if you were constantly saying, "Oh, my trainer (blah, blah)". That would give someone…

I cleaned up the house for an hour this morning, ran after two kids and a dog, on conference calls at work (talked on phone while walking), sat at desk and reconcilled accounts for 2 hours, then back up to running after kids this afternoon. I took my little guy for a walk around the neighborhood. Let's see what happens…

Waffle Houses are almost always off the interstate. They are about the size and shape of a double-wide trailor. They are "white bread, white eggs, hashbrowns, lard, hamburger" only place. They don't have belguim waffles, elderberry flavored syrup, fresh fruits. The average WH has a dirty, tiled floor with blackened grout…

I'll dump on the Waffle House. Yes, I ate there more then a few times in the late 1980s when I was in college in Atlanta. We called it the "Aweful Waffle.". I used to eat Bert's chile, eggs over easy, and toast. The waitresses had special lingo. For hash browns...smothered, covered....etc. yes, it is a melting pot off…

After your run in with the law, did you add the song, "the night the lights went out in Georgia" to your playlist.
