My fiance is 6'2", very slim, does 3xswimming per week and we eat a similar diet - low in animal protein, high in veg, fruit and grains. Vast majority of our food is home-cooked. He would, however, remain slim on a less healthy lifestyle; whereas I would get fat again!!!

To add - exercise-wise I only do cardio at present (a mix of walking, jogging, swimming) plus one Pilates session per week. I started off in November by monitoring and restricting calorie intake, and added in exercise in December.

Hi Jat, I started out in November 2012 at 144lbs and this morning, weighed in at 123lbs. I've lost the fat around my middle (being cursed with apple-shaped tendencies) and went from a waist size of 32" to 27" (at last measurement 1wk? ago). I'm also 38 - so it's definitely possible for you to lose weight and body-fat at…

Lol, and this :)

That's not entirely true. Canines are also used for fighting. Herbivores such as horses have canines - mainly the males but a few females also possess smaller ones. Our dentition and digestive system supports the theory that we evolved to eat a wide range of foods, but I suspect we were gatherer-hunters (i.e. major source…

Horses that find their way illegally into the human food chain could potentially contain other prohibited drugs, not just anti-inflammatories. In the UK, all horses (by law) have to have passports - which have either a signed declaration stating "Not For Human Consumption" or if this is not signed, then ALL drugs given…

Plain oatmeal can be prepared very quickly - I pour kettle-boiled water over mine, leave to soak for a minute, then stir in a small amount of soya milk and top with fruit. Delish!

I frequently under-eat my carbs and at the same time manage to exceed my sugar intake!! 3 fruits and two cups of tea per day (no sugar but semi-skimmed milk) are all it takes to push it over the edge...and veg such as peppers/tomatoes/cucumber increases the sugar intake! I try not to worry about fruit/veg/milk sugars too…

4lbs to go - but I'm quite happy at my current weight :) Aim is now to reduce BF% by 1-2

I wouldn't consider 5 days at the same weight a plateau. 4-6wks with no weight change would be a plateau in my eyes. I've stayed pretty much the same weight for 3wks now and don't consider myself to have "stalled" at that weight; however, I'm very close (4lbs) to my target and within normal BMI range at present, so any…

I like my oatmeal (made with water) with sweetener, blueberries, apple and about 10ml of soya milk stirred in :)

I'm 5'3 and 3/4", currently weighing about 57kg, UK size 8-10 depending on make and fit of clothes. Have about 2kg to lose but am happy where I am at present too. I have apple-shaped tendencies!

Anything in moderation, that's what I stick by!

Feel free to add me - 5'3 and 3/4", have another 4lbs(ish) to lose, lost 19 already :)

My Levi's 529 boot-cut and Gap skinny jeans are my favourite pairs, but I tend to buy whatever jeans will fit me in the sales!

Feliway or DAP diffusers - another good idea to help your cats settle down together
-
Give it time. 1 day is nothing regarding the time cats can take to settle into a new home (it can take MONTHS for cats to "feel at home" in a new place). Your new cat will be feeling insecure as she doesn't know where to run to/hide in her "new" abode. Confine your new cat to one room (so she can get to know the room well…

I would have a 300cal salad - lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, fine green beans, a boiled egg and some new potatoes. Dressed with some caesar salad dressing (Cardini's light). The rest would go on G&Ts as it's a Friday.... :)

I got a message from him yesterday, a random one to which I didn't reply as I thought it was a bit creepy lol! How many pairs of socks should I wear for tonight's run, given it's in minus figures out there (brrr)?
