^^^ Agreed. If you were eating the appropriate amount of calories, unless you have a medical condition, I don't see how a high intensity workout could 'make you fatter'...

I think 1,550 calories must be way too little to be eating? I eat this daily + exercise calories and am still losing weight and I am a 5'3'' woman. If you are bingeing like that in one day, I have to wonder whether any of this is sustainable...Honestly (IMO), it might be better to really calculate your TDEE - 20% and then…

I know the feeling! I actually do like going out and partying and usually do at least once a week but it sucks if you feel *pressure* to drink and you just don't want to. I have had a couple of friends who would really lay into me if I was not drinking. I know that it has nothing to do with me and everything to do with…

Awesome! I'm making my appointment to go the gym for the first time to meet with a trainer re: lifting heavy so I'm pretty stoked and it's great to see such inspirational photos and progress. I love that you are doing it together. It's fabulous having a supportive partner! :-)

Hi! Keep your head up the best you can. Maybe check out some of the success stories? Everyone has lows and it sounds like you are in one of them. Maybe try and keep your calories at TDEE - 20% rather than something extremely restricted. Check this out: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ If you start doing some…

I'm 6 months free today! Your body is beginning to heal from being poisoned for a while. It will react in funny ways. This is totally normal...I am not sure how long it will last for you. Some awesome things to look forward to: your taste buds returning, better sense of smell, not hating yourself every time you light up,…

Sometimes I get bored at work and want to snack...to prevent doing this unhealthily, I have loads of fruit on my desk and in the fridge. Make it easy for yourself to make good choices. Also, even a can of soup + slice of bread can be a lovely and filling dinner - low in calories too, cheap, and requires no refrigeration.…

Honestly, if you have a few friends and boyfriend supporting you, that's great. I don't feel the need to tell anyone what I am doing - why would a casual acquaintance care if I am trying to get healthy and why would I feel the need at all for their 'support'? I'd rather just do my thing and hopefully show off a hot new bod…

chicken + chilli + tomatoes (canned is good for juice) + mixed beans + any other veg = YUM!

Second that! 1. Love the story. Love the pics. 2. Want the pizza....

I love it. It's awesome. Lost a jean size within 5 weeks. Just eat healthily along with it, put in your best effort and you'll see results - it feels like it would literally be impossible not to (opinion).

THANK YOU!!! If postings like this didn't happen, I would've prolonged my unnecessary 1200 calorie misery indefinitely...

I had similar struggles last year. I was killin' it on the workout front but eating like a horse! It's only this year I decided to add in some healthy eating and moderation and it's awesome...The results of working out are so much better when you are eating better. I can tell you some things that helped me and I hope it…

Thank you for this. I was 'started off' on 1200 but thankfully due to my intense reading of the forums realize quickly that I needed to up it ASAP! Life is definitely more awesome this way already.

You look fit as a fiddle! Way to go!
-
Not at all appropriate I'd think.
-
I loved your post. You looked so happy and silly in your success photos...absolutely inspiring!
-
It probably took you years or at least months to put on the extra weight you did now...A long time of over-eating so don't worry that one meal will tip you back over the edge...Patience. Also, I'd go with upping your calories, too! x Good luck

I vote booty shorts for a special occasion...Does he have a birthday coming up?! ;-)

Valid question. ;-)

Definite progress! I always remind myself: You have to start somewhere! We can't just go from 0 to 100 overnight. You go from 0 to 1 to 2 and so on. Once you get awesome though, maybe you can go from 20 to 25 or something :-)

I remember when I first started doing Jillian's DVDs...some moves were okay but others, I just could not get through or only do for a few seconds. That was 1+ year ago...There are still some moves I have trouble with but others, I can do without a second thought (okay, there's definitely still seconds thoughts haha but I…

Fruit...apples can also take a long time to get through so I find it satisfies me. Try teas and other low cal hot drinks, too, for distraction!

I liked seeing this straightforward routine and I'm going to try it out :-) What's a body hold? and could you describe leg lifts? Thanks!

Love this!

Thanks for this ladies. Maddambishop - I've added you! :-)

I think it's always really sweet when the SO sees a person as so desirable/beautiful/sexy/hot that they can't necessarily understand the desire to change. Maybe you need to really sit down and have a chat with him...'Yes, I am doing this so I look like X, Y, Z...I am also doing this to lower my body fat percentage into the…

I always continue during that TOM. Even just going for a walk is better than nothing if you are feeling really dreadful.

Thank you :-)
