Seconding FitnessBlender.com. My boyfriend and I love doing them together!

I can make super healthy stews, curries, chillis, omelettes, etc. (e.g. lots of veggies, low calorie, and filling) in like 20 minutes or less. If I want the meal to be fast, I choose veggies that I can chop very quickly (e.g. peppers and onions) or that are pre-chopped (in a bag) or already ready to go (e.g. spinach) or…

Omg...that sounds so good...chocolate chip banana bread.

I've been doing the 5:2 for one month now. I enjoy it because it suits my lifestyle and preferences. I'm sort of an all or nothing type food-person so I find both the fasting and non-fasting equally do-able! :-) I do 600 calories on the fasting days and my TDEE average on non-fasting days. My TDEE is 2,300 but I do it…

I have been doing IF 5:2 for one month...in the first couple of weeks, I couldn't do my usual workout in the afternoons. I do Mondays and Thursdays fasting and Monday is traditionally lower body strength, but I just could not bring myself to do it. So I decided to do cardio first thing in the morning on the fasting days.…

I am so sad. I was investigating Halo Top earlier this week - looking at reviews, flavours, etc., only to discover we don't have it here in the Republic of Ireland. Sad, sad, sad day...I love Ben and Jerry's but it f'n kills my daily calories cause like a pint is 1 serving...right??? Right?!

Allen Carr's 'Easy way to quit smoking' clinic. I cannot recommend it enough. Best money I ever spent. They have them in a lot of cities in the US and even have them here in Ireland!

You've articulated how I feel sometimes very well! When I 'know' I am not hungry, I either have herbal tea or a low calorie drink or just some water. But sometimes I just don't feel 'satisfied'. It can be really odd. Possibly boredom? Or just like really enjoying food? Maybe a mix of different things at different times!

Lol...hilarious...the ice cream and tortilla chip combo does not appeal to me at all, but I def understand the need for MORE. I am not a great moderator. I'm an all or nothing b. Well done on making improvements to your choices! I'm working on this as well!

You are taking all of the steps you possibly can (pun intended) in the right direction! By doing that, you will build yourself into the strongest version of yourself you can be. I can only imagine and empathise how much you wish you could go back to your former abilities, but I just wanted to say it's amazing to not give…

Your hard work is paying off. You look amazing. Also, you are very beautiful! <3 Keep it up! x

I always thought my Polar HRM was relatively accurate for heart rate. For instance, during Insanity or something else high intensity, I would definitely be hitting my max 180-190ish. And that's like pouring sweat, barely able to catch my breath, I mean really pushing it. I got a FitBit Charge HR 2 and the heart rate…

Personally? I'd probably make something wicked easy like brownies in the box. And sort of detach while making them and then once they were cooled down, immediately put them in a box or bag and get them out the door. Same goes for if you have to work or volunteer at the bake sale stand. Think of it like a job that's got to…

I have to be honest...you look amazing in both pictures. Like either one to me is perfect. I get that it is a feeling you want to achieve for yourself, but like I don't even understand how she noticed a difference in you...I'd look at you at either weight and think, 'yep, looks healthy and great bod!' x

I prefer the classification using non-purposeful steps as described by @SusanMFindlay. I think the variety of activity in office workers is clear based on the descriptions from previous posters. Some people drive or commute door-to-door and then sit down the for the majority of their 8-9 hours. Others use an active means…

How do you know you've been losing at that weight consistently if you don't have a scale? And was your starting weight also done at your friend's house? Scale weights can be very off depending upon a number of factors.

Mine appears to visually improve when I am at a lower weight.

I'm 5'3'' and the difference in even a few pounds is seriously noticeable in my clothes! So I wouldn't doubt you are feeling changes xx

I feel you...I lost 30 pounds, got to my ideal weight, and then got comfortable and had major challenges in staying focused on tracking. Since hitting my ideal weight about a year ago, I've gained 10 pounds. It sucks but I saw it happening and let it happen by being inconsistent with my logging and being comfortable. I…

Well done! Great choice.

57 is absolutely not 'old'; I hate when people talk like anything 30+ years of age is old. I know 60 year olds with more energy than me. And I know 70+ year olds with a plenty of energy, too! People are using that as an excuse for their own selves! What is 'old'? Don't let misinformed ideas skew your own life. You do you,…

Wow - just wow. You look incredible! Well done!

Hi, It sounds like you are in a hard place. Please be kind to yourself and cut yourself some slack. It's okay to feel however you are feeling. I know that doesn't take anything away, but sometimes just allowing ourselves permission to feel how we do can help. You might try and see if there are any mother/baby groups in…

Sometimes with this type of person, it's best to keep things suitably vague. 'Hmm, maybe.' Or 'Hm, perhaps...' 'This weekend? I am not sure yet.' Alternatively, re-direct the conversation back to her and just ask a ton of questions. 'Oh, tell me more about that.' 'That must be hard for you.' 'What's that like?' Either way…

@Aaron_K123 Totally. I think you have actually described it quite well, and is sort of what I meant by the added in 'note'. These zones are constantly changing as a person grows and develops. You will consistently need to push to continue to keep pushing towards the brink of your learning zone. It's not like the 'zones'…

I was in a course recently and talked about 3 zones: the comfort zone, the learning zone, and the danger zone. It suggested that the 'learning zone', as the name suggests, was where most development and learning occurred - a place beyond your safety net and the comfort of what you know, a place that pushed your boundaries…

Yes! The only items I seem to have this with are chips/crisps and wine. Once they are open, I just go to town! It's like I am thinking it's a single serving size! I have no trouble with anything else. So, yes, I do commiserate. My only strategy for avoidance is simply not having them in the house. I've tried the single…

You still haven't stated important details like your height, weight, and activity level. If you only have 15 pounds to lose, you may be cutting your calories too aggressively. This would cause you to lose scale weight, but it would also likely lead to bingeing at some time period after (2-3 weeks in your case). When I…

https://www.allencarr.com/ - Changed my life. The in-person programme is costly but it makes quitting EASY. No cravings. No tricks. No gimmicks. No willpower. You simply stop smoking and are happy to be free of it. I cannot recommend it enough. Best money I've ever spent.

I started exercising by doing short DVDs - Jillian Michaels' workouts. I had the time and they were like 25-30 minutes long. I had ZERO excuses. So, I begrudgingly did those and built up a habit. That was 5 years ago - Now I couldn't imagine not working out. Things that help when I don't feel like exercising: I legit just…
