  • Seven years ago, I lost over 70 lbs, but them life hit me like a ton of bricks between stress at work and issues with depression and anxiety with my oldest son. Needless to say, I gained it all back. I've tried several times over the past few years to lose it again, but I'm older now and it's harder. Last month, I went to…
  • I received my bloodwork results from my doctor last month and realized I'm pre-diabetic. I need to take my A1c from 5.8 down to 5.6 or less. So I'm back to tracking my food, exercising, and watching my carbs/sugars. I want to lose 30 lbs before I have to go back for a six month bloodwork recheck. I do NOT want to become…
  • I'm currently reading "Kill Me Once, Kill Me Twice" by Clara Kensie. I also have a shelf full of books and I'm not quite sure which one I'll read next. I love anything Young Adult that's paranormal or dystopian. I'm also an author myself! I just released a book last month and I've got two books left before my Unfortunate…
  • I'm reading an ARC from Rebecca Hamilton and Miranda Brock called Cursed Keys. It's very Tomb Raider-ish. I'm loving it! And I'm also writing the next book in my Unfortunate Spells series titled What the Hex Happened. My first three books are up on Amazon and titled: Who Ordered a Medium, How to Spell Disaster, and When to…
  • I just moved to Layton, Utah in December (2018) and I'm looking for some Utah friends on here! I moved from Louisville, Ky!
  • Tickets for this event are currently 75% off! WOW! http://louisvilleauthorsevent2015.eventbrite.com
  • I'm open to new friends who are bisexual and active on MFP!
  • I'm on Goodreads! I love it! You can find me here: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/8162958.J_Laslie
  • I'd like to lose 15 lbs during this challenge. I've gotten down to 139.8 pounds, then life kinda through me for a loop and I've gained some back. I never want to get back over 200 again though. So I'm digging in my heels and putting a halt to the gain! No more! I will get back to to at least 140 again! I'm only 5'3". I…
  • I'm a very picky eater so its hard for me to be adventurous when it comes to food. I usually eat the same thing each day except for a couple variations in snacks and a few different options for dinner. You aren't alone! You can add me as a friend on here if you'd like! Thanks!
  • This. I started out at 216.8 pounds. I made it down to 140. I'm fluctuating a little. But like someone else said. Even after losing 72 pounds I'm still not completely happy with myself. The mental image I have in my head of myself doesn't really match what's in the mirror. I still think I'm bigger when I'm not faced with…
  • I don't normally read threads, but the title caught my eye and you all are cracking me the eff up! *dies*
  • Is this group even still active?
  • I think you look beautiful. Your family obviously doesn't know what they're talking about. How can they bring you down like that when you've done such an amazing job! I love the after picture and think you look much better. Keep up the great job!
  • I lost a lot of weight in 2005 and was down to 140 lbs. I fit into a size 10. I mainly carry my weight in my hips/thighs/butt. I was pear shaped. But when I recently got over 200 pounds I started to get it around the middle. And that’s where I’ve lost it first too, but not as good as I did in 2005. I still have that muffin…
  • You have to be careful though. Some of their things I think are made cheap and they can get expensive unless you have a coupon or go when there is a sale.
  • Usually my mother in law just has me roll up the cuff the amount of times I need it. She'll fold it under that many times and sew around the bottom. That way I can undo the hem if I need to give them to a tall friend! LOL!
  • When I needed plus sized clothes I shopped at Lane Bryant. They have some pants in petite in the stores. And if they didn't carry it they could order it and have it shipped for free. I have a LB credit card too... but I'm not plus size anymore. LOL... I cut it up. They can close the account for inactivity whenever they'd…
  • I'm 5'3" (all day every day! LOL) and when I started out at 211.6 on 11/1/12 (when I recommitted to the MFP lifestyle) I had set a goal of 140 lbs. That would get me to a BMI under 25. I'm getting close to that goal now. I'm 148.4. I plan on getting to 140 and then re-evaluating eveything. I think I want to get down to 130…
  • I'm going to use this as my introduction as well. My name is Jennifer. I'll be 32 years old on Dec 17th. I was the chubby kid in middle school. High school I was in marching band and actually slimmed down, even though I still thought I was fat. Pff! I got pregnant at 18 years old and really didn't gain too much weight…
  • I usually try to find "petite" jeans or when all else fails, my mother in law lives with me. She has an industrial sewing machine and can hem my pants quick.
  • I'm ony 5'3". I consider that short. Isn't the average woman 5'4"? I'm usually the shortest person in my group of friends. There is a lady at work here that I swear is probably 4'10" tall. Now THAT is short. Though I like to consider myself "fun size" LOL!
  • I'm glad they're aware... it didn't sync up after my walk yesterday and told me I only had 1 extra calorie from exercise when I know it should have been WAY more. LOL!
  • I'm NyteMirage on Instagram and I post TONS of motivational stuff!
  • I'd like to join if there is room!
  • I'm 5'3" and my goal weight is 140 lbs... but I ultimately want to try for 130 lbs. I'll just have to re-evaluate once I get to 140 lbs. I'm down to 158.8 this morning... last year I was at my highest weight with 216.8. so I've come a long way! -Jennifer
  • I think you are doing fabulous now! I started last November and I'm down 52lbs. So I'm right there with you. And whereas my goal is 140 lbs. I ultimately think 130 is what I want to be, which means I have 30 more pounds to lose as well. We got this!!
  • I don't think sugar from fruits is bad for you since it is natural sugar. You just want to make sure that you keep low on "added sugar"... those are the evils! LOL! This is what I found on webmd.com: Recommendations vary based on organization. For example, the World Health Organization recommends keeping added sugar intake…
