Most think they are doing it correctly. Big difference. Don't know what point as trying to be made with the junk food. Most vegans (usually) give up processed foods too.

For best protein absorption you need roughly 3:1 carbs to protein. I use a mix of hemp, brown rice, cranberry, pea, and alfalfa protein in a shake made by genuine health. Whey (especially the one from Costco) made blood vessels in my eye break from violent vomiting. Just doesn't sit well with me lol

I think blenders too. The expensive blenders with the rubber are great! But I have a kitchen aid. .9 hp & at $200. The cheaper ones don't blend ice. Blend more veggies than fruit - kale, char, spinach, cucumbers, are great to throw in a shake with a banana and - my fav- genuine health vegan proteins or vega one

Caffeine has a reverse effect on many people with ADD, so it may be ok. However it's not the healthiest to give them. Sugar on the other hand - no evidence that shows giving kids sugar makes them hyper. It could be the placebo effect - parents telling them this makes them think it. Not as annoyed as I get when someone knows I'm watching what I eat and offers me cookies, chips, etc. Knowing I don't want to be tempted.

I have been looking for people to split, but many around me are the processed eaters. I know too well about throwing out unused. Prices are just too good to turn up though. Bananas - it's like buying 3-4 bunches and getting 9-10 free. I already buy about 2-3 a week. I'll do a kijiji post for others to split :) lol

dilute it or brush your teeth after. in pure form it can break down your teeth enamel. It's also low alkaline forming, which is good, but lemons & watermelon are MUCH much more alkaline forming and taste much better (eating the watermelon or squeezing the lemon in water)

Yes and no. I'll lean more towards the yes. Something can be FAT FREE, but very high in sugar. Try eating 1500 calories of sugar a day. Not the same as 1500 calories of chicken & veggies. This way of doing it could be setting you up for failure. If you really want to eat a little, make sure it's VERY nutrient dense foods. Since your diary is not public, we don't know what you're eating. If it's just empty calories then thats no good. If you're eating 800 calories from nutrient dense foods - then impressive.…

Have to agree there... What I read before was a horrible definition. Fat people can be anorexic too, but most likely not diagnosed as easily due to their size.

You don't need to jump start your weight loss, it'll be fast the first while anyway. If anything this would be better when you hit a plateau. I am sure you have heard/seen the debunking of fasting - as our body doesn't need it to detox or anything like that. However there was evidence in many animals - cats, mice, etc.…
