I think that doing the full motion of being able to go to the floor with a knee pushup is better for now. I am doing the hundred pushup challenge, and this first round, I'm doing the girl pushups because I can keep proper form that way. When I'm stronger after doing this for 6 weeks, I will start over with toe pushups and…

Too bad it's only for iPhone right now...maybe they will make it for Android soon because that is pretty cool

I weigh myself once a week--same day, around the same time: Sundays around 7:00 AM. That's the weight I enter to this site.

At home, I brew a flavored or regular K-cup, usually with nothing added, but sometimes I do sprinkle in some cinnamon. At work, just black coffee. I've thought about keeping a container of cinnamon at work so I can use it there, but I've yet to do it. It's pretty yummy, though.

For my initial test, I did 15 "girl" pushups. I decided I'd rather start that way and then I can repeat the program with normal pushups when I'm stronger. I downloaded the app on my phone and it's really nice because it does the 60 second countdown between sets for you. I'm glad I had that because I probably would have…

My sister chose Red Robin for her birthday dinner while she was in town last month, so I looked up the nutrition info beforehand. I ended up getting a cup of Red's Chili Chili, sweet potato fries, and steamed broccoli, and beer. It was all very good! Normally, I would've gotten a burger and eaten a ton of endless fries.…

Given that information, you probably could set it at lightly active. Then you would continue to not log your bike rides, but you should still log your exercise time.

My understanding is that the activity level is what you do outside of exercise. So if you have a desk job, you would select sedentary since you probably sit for the majority of your work day. I am a special education teacher, and I am rarely sitting during the school day (maybe an 2 hours, tops). I incorporate a lot of…

Even though you think it seems too slow, just try it. The goal is to get you past the mental block of thinking you can't run for 20 minutes. Maybe you can't run 20 minutes at the pace you want, but you probably could do it at a slower pace. So just jog it at 5 mph. If your reason for not doing it is because it's too slow,…

At the end of the nine weeks, I was not running a 10-minute mile to get in the full 3 miles in 30 minutes (and I'm still not...yet), but I was running for 30 minutes straight. Since then, I have just kept running until I made it to 3 miles...depending on how I feel that day/my pace, it takes me between 32-37 minutes to run…

When I first started, I only talked to my husband about it. Now that I've lost 20 pounds, people notice and ask what I am doing, so it's hard not to talk about it. The people usually asking me about it are overweight themselves, so I don't mind sharing what I'm doing because they are curious; they aren't trying to derail…
