  • Shannon, you kick butt :)
  • Currently my breakfast is a small amount of muesli refrigerated overnight with plain yoghurt (so it soaks it up deliciously!), then topped the next morning with an orange and some pitted cherries. I get hungry when I'm trying to sleep thinking about it for breakfast the next day! Also, plain or greek yoghurt mixed with…
  • I guess it depends on what works for you and your personality - for me, I find it really motivating to be able to see the stats on what I am doing each day, in terms of walking around. I find I go out of my way to walk more - why park right at the entrance when you can park at the back and get those extra steps? Or why not…
  • This is very relevant for me too. We're heading off on a holiday soon to northern Europe and my god to I plan to eat ALL the sausages and salmon and potatoes and awesome buffet breakfasts and delicious baked goods. And all the beer and vodka too. I keep having moments of anxiety about gaining weight, but I've been trying…
  • Oooh yes! Korpiklaani is fantastic if you are looking for some energetic Finnish folk metal to run along to :P Katatonia for melancholy angst. Perfect for running at night after a crap day at work. Stuff I've loved for years, Rammstein, Faith No More, NIN, Fear Factory, old Manson - those are perfect for working out too.…
  • Very late to this - but I live in Canberra, happy to answer questions! :)
  • You look gorgeous in both pictures, but you are kicking *kitten* in the second!! :)
  • I scoop it up with apple slices. Good stuff! My lunch today is cottage cheese mixed with tuna, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, olives, cracked pepper and some cholula hot sauce, on crackers. Really yummy!
  • That's so awesome!! :) I really relate to wanting to tell people - you always have us!
  • You guys all look amazing. I love these threads too, they helped me stay on track when I felt like nothing was happening! Here are mine - with the typical unflattering "before" pic! :P Only it wasn't a "before" pic at the time, it was just me absolutely hating being photographed because I didn't feel good about how I…
  • Hey, I'm a bit shorter than you at 176 cm (around 5'9), but here's me: currently at 69 kilograms, about 153 pounds. I am comfortable with how I look now, but will work more on body strength to change the shape of my body, rather than focussing on just weight loss now. e.g. I want to have awesome arms and shoulders ;) I…
  • I still drink (beers and wines). Generally I fit it into my calories for that day and there's no real issue. I've still lost weight whilst drinking. I don't usually drink during the week unless I've been out for dinner, it's mostly a weekend thing, and that helps too, because it's easy for me to create a calorie deficit…

  • You look really great :) You looked lovely before, but you look so confident in yourself now. Congratulations! (and cute dog too :P)
  • Hi Madison, I'm sorry you are dealing with this, I can only imagine how the stress of this triggering food feels to you. I really do encourage you to see if you can access psychological help to assist you in healing from your eating disorder. I know money is a problem, but try to keep in mind there are options to help -…
  • You really do look great - such a change! And you are quite humorous too! Congrats, for both! :P
  • This is an awesome post :) And you are awesome too! I relate soooo much to the thoughts that surely once you lose weight life will be a fairy tale and all that crap that used to happen will just magically disappear! Sad to say, it doesn't work that way. Same crap, different sized clothes. It takes time for your head to…
  • You look really amazing. What an incredible achievement!
  • Maybe do your number 2 on the scales instead? Much more accurate.
  • Oooh nice! This is completely classy!
  • I've heard that eating sandwiches can make you go blind. True story!
  • What an amazing achievement - I hope you are so incredibly proud of yourself and the hard effort and commitment you have put into your health and your life. You are going to inspire those clients of yours just like you've inspired thousands of people here. Good for you!
  • I don't know how much skinnier people were on average in the 70s, and I haven't bothered to look. But I think in general our lives are just running on a different framework to how they did then - obviously, with changes in technology, Our work lifestyles and expectations of how you will work have changed too, in Australia…
  • You look really fantastic - awesome work!!!
  • For me the problem is also the late night snacks and the delicious delicious food you just cannot help but consume whilst drunk... and then of course the delicious greasy breakfast the next day :P For me I did cut down on alcohol, and it helped with weight loss, but the reason I cut down wasn't to lose weight. It was…
  • I get this too in the winter. I wear a beanie which helps a lot, otherwise it feels like my ears are exploding!
  • I'm 5'9" and currently around 69 kg (152 pounds), and I have pants in size 8, 10, 11 and 12 (Australian sizing) - it depends on the store and the cut. About a month ago I bought a pair of jeans in a size 8 from one shop, and on the same day I also bought a pair of pedal-pushers from another shop in a size 14! Craziness!
  • Bumping due to the laaaaaaarge amount of dried black beans I cooked up on Sunday that are now stored in my freezer and ready to go.
  • Katatonia are a swedish doom/prog metal band who are perfect for cardio. I don't know why, as they aren't exactly upbeat, but they have vocals, lyrics, riffs and beats to die for! And they are my very most favourite band ever :P All albums are good, but particularly good album to run/walk to is Last Fair Deal Gone Down.
  • Fear Factory is excellent for working out, particularly Soul of a New Machine. I'm with you on the metal! Add me if you like! :)
  • I lost 25 kg (around 50ish pounds) from January this year from eating well and walking every day, I walk about 8-10 km in total a day. A walk before work and a walk after. For me it's become an exercise in mental health as well as my general health! It's great to clear my head before and after work each day. As for how…
