  • Sweetheart, I totally feel your pain and what you are going through. I have hypothyroidism and hashimotos [which is an autoimmune disease related to hypo] and I am about a good 80lbs overweight. I was fed up with myself, so I went to the doc, got my blood drawn and they put me on thyroid meds and told me to try to go…
  • WTG! Unfortunately, this does not apply to everyone. As someone with autoimmune disease, it is best to do an AIP Paleo/Gluten Free lifestyle. In the 3 months I've done it, I lost 33lbs and counting! Not saying that what you are doing is wrong, but clean eating is the way to go for some!
  • Thanks y'all. I eat Paleo not to lose weight, even though it is helping, but to control my autoimmune and thyroid disorders. It has helped greatly with my inflammation and my energy levels have skyrocketed.

  • Cardio<weight training.
  • My wedding ring was so tight on my finger, but now after 26lb loss it is loose and I can actually see through the hole if I look through it!
  • and to reiterate, I have energy in the morning BEFORE taking the dosage. I wake up at 5:30am and take the pill at 10am.
  • Hey there now, don't be 100% bashing this pill. I have had major luck with Phentermine. Currently on the 2nd month and have lost 26lbs with also eating Paleo and maintaining a healthy weight training regimen. The thing about this pill is that you can't take it and just expect to lose weight and stay like that. You HAVE to…
  • Yeah, I never understood why people enjoyed butter in their coffee. I have been caffeine free, for other reasons, since I started Paleo. But to each their own. Paleo is a great way to see if you have any hidden allergies. My goal is to complete six months, then once I reach that goal, I will start implementing dairy back…
  • Paleo is more of a philosophical way of eating. Lean protein and veggies with some fruit.
  • It's been about a week. Yes, I might be. But even still, because I have adjusted things due to losing the first 20 lbs, shouldn't I still be losing gradually? and Yes, by golly I drink about 140oz at work alone!
  • I am currently on Phentermine, taking 37.5 pill at 10am. I eat a breakfast around 7am and lunch around noon, snacking inbetween even though I take the pill. Just because I don't feel hungry doesn't mean I shouldn't eat. The only reason why my PCP prescribed it was so I wouldn't eat as much as I used to so that my stomach…
  • She probably didn't eat right. Like I mentioned, you can't take this pill and continue on how you were eating. It just doesn't work that way. My doctor only prescribed it to me if I were to start Paleo. I started Paleo for one week, lost 4lbs and showed her my food diary and then she was prescribed it to me. I wish others…
  • I've been on it for a month now and I may say that along with proper diet and exercise, it will help you lose weight quickly. I don't take it on weekends because I am off work and active, that I actually forget to take it and I am not craving it or having withdrawals. I wasn't abnormally hungry, either, because I have…
  • Dinner and snacks!
  • Good for you that you don't have health problems. I on the other hand cannot consume brussel sprouts because of my autoimmune disease and risk of inflammation. Inflammation is no bueno. Paleo pizza is awesome by the way, ever tried it? Almond meal for the crust, pure tomato sauce for the sauce and dump a bunch of veggies…
  • Hello. Sorry you were diagnosed with it. I was recently, as well, and my PCP suggested I try the Paleo lifestyle which means excluding gluten, dairy, wheat, grains and sugar from my diet. I am on week 4 and am feeling amazing!! I've also lost 20 lbs. I take Armour after taking Levo for 5 years and it definitely is a better…
  • and I have lost 20lbs so far. My skin is not dry anymore, my hair is softer and my swelling on my hands and feet has diminished.
  • I have been following Paleo for awhile now. My PCP suggested it after I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. After a few weeks on it, I had some dairy (oops) and it really made me feel gross and sick. To those that think it is a hype, sure it is. Some people don't need to eat Paleo. People do because they think it is…
  • Awesome job!! You definitely encourage the rest of us to keep going. I'm right now on week 4 of Paleo and the difference is definitely there. My skin is so soft, I have more energy and now I crave water instead of bubbly soda. People look at me crazy like "how can you not eat bread? you know whole wheat is healthy right?"…
  • Appetite will come back and it is up to you what you eat. Are you going to reach for carbs? Or sugar? Develop a clean eating habit. When you are hungry, grab a boiled egg for protein or make yourself a clean smoothie.
  • I'm sure those are taking this and losing so much weight and then gaining back is because of poor eating habits. I cannot stress enough that this is not a miracle pill. You HAVE to learn how to eat.
  • The thing is, you took it 15 years ago and who knows what was in it compared to today. People don't eat junk on the Phentermine pill. I certainly don't, I'm eating Paleo.
  • The thing about this drug, which I take, is that you can NOT eat unhealthy on this drug. I mean, you can, but you won't lose weight the "right" way. I am currently eating a Paleo diet and have eliminated all gluten/carbs and bad foods as well as increased my water intake (120 oz). If you continue to drink soda, sit on your…
  • ndj1979, don't be sad! I'm on a strict gluten-free diet due to my autoimmune disease so the Domino's they brought in wouldn't satisfy my gluten free lifestyle!
  • SciranBG, you are funny
  • Thanks for the advice! I usually drink one can/glass of soda a day and I feel really crummy afterwords so I think I may just cut down to one every other day for now. I wouldn't want diet because of aspartame but I know that in the beginning I should do it by moderation. So far, I have made pretty decent choices on dinners.…
  • Also with exercising, what do you recommend with having two toddlers?
  • Hi there! I live in Austin and it is great! We actually live right on the NE side our in Manor, which is just 5 minutes down the road from the Austin city limits, but lived in Austin before moving out here to the country. It is such a wonderful city. So much to do for family and even for the single life. I have two…
  • Thank you ladies!! Your words of encouragement are very much appreciated! I just feel confused and don't know where to turn. I read stories of how this one man went from 344 to losing 100lbs in 6 months, but yet I read another one where someone has los only 20lbs in 5 months. It's just so confusing, being new and all to…
  • Well what I have eaten today was Special K cereal, banana, apple, turkey & cheese sandwich, baby carrots, and for dinner I'm about to have wheat pasta with organic marinara sauce. So all in all it was a good day. I did check a website that showed my calorie intake for the weight I am at and how much I want to lose says I…
