no. i wouldn't count it. you're not doing too much physically straining activity.

that sounds right! a HRM is definitely more accurate than MFP estimates. i noticed when i started using my HRM that sometimes the MFP calculations were too high and sometimes too low. It really depends on you, how hard you worked out, your weight, etc. not familiar with Mio brand though. I have a Polar. but 260 doesn't…

i'm training to run a 1/2 marathon in may... which is forever away, currently i am signed up to do a 10k on thanksgiving. i run 4 miles once or twice a week and run for at least 25min 3-times a week.

this is so true. you can try to inspire her, but until she's ready, that's about all you can do. if she complains, encourage her to do something about it.

i tried running at the park and an old man passed me up big time. he was old enough to be my grandfather and here i am, early 20s, huffing and puffing after a couple 100ft... made me really rethink my fitness level and where i was going with that in life...i knew i had to get serious about it.

it's easy to revert to old ways because it's comfortable, it's what you know. change is really hard for people, some more than others. just keep yourself motivated by focusing on WHY you want to lose weight and get in shape. write it down, make a poster, put it on the fridge... just keep reminding yourself. the good news…

good to know!

Wow! that is so inspiring. what a great attitude!

going to a mall or a nice dept store like Nordstrom can really help, they have fantastic sales people that can help you try things on and pick stuff out that you normally wouldn't but when you try them on they look great! the worst part for me is my boobs are smaller now- going from a DD to a C is harsh :-(
-
bump. i struggle with some of this :-( i like my curvy "full figure" body a lot but want to be healthy! lost 25lbs and not feeling as sexy as i used to.

in my experience, it's REALLY hard to make someone change if they are unwilling or don't care to. maybe you could keep talking about how great you feel and your progress and inspire her. maybe go shopping together and pick out some nice clothes that are a little snug that you know she could fit into when she loses weight?…
