Check out "The Complete Book of Juicing" by Michael T. Murray. It has great recipes. I'm into green juice and like kale, spinach, parsley, lemon, ginger, green apple, carrot for a post workout drink.

I feel good. I've worked out five days each week this month. I'm back in The Zone with confidence, swagger and a more angular look. The soft post holiday guy is gone and, "Bond is back." I also want to look good when I meet women. On a more serious note, I want good health. I want to keep playing sports and doing the…

I'm not really sure. Sometimes I have a cheat food like a cookie or something. Today I came home from work and had a cheat meal. I was very tired and very hungry and ate more calories than I should have eaten. Then I had a couple of beers. After logging everything in I was surprised to see the calories go up as fast as…

"You don't need to workout." Um... right. I'll just sit on my couch all night and watch TV.

Definitely making some. And here in the Northeast Maple Season is only two months away!

Fruit is a great snack. It has the calories you need to keep you going plus it does not cause your blood sugar to spike and crash leaving you hungry. Nutritionally it has vitamins, minerals and enzymes which your body needs. Also the fiber keeps you full and its water content helps keep you refreshed. Speaking of water,…

Eat fruit. Stay away from processed carbs: baked goods, candy, granola bars (read the ingredients), cereal, pasta. I think Jack LaLanne said something like, "if man made it, spit it out." The key thing is that processed carbs make your blood sugar spike and crash leaving you hungry whereas fruit sustains you longer. Plus…

Black. No sugar. No nothing. Just coffee, and maybe ice if I want iced coffee.

I've been vegan for three years and "as raw as possible" since last spring. I've discovered that when I'm in 100% raw mode, I don't need to count calories. Even I'm not eating raw (like the organic lentil soup for lunch) I try to focus on getting the most nutrition per calorie or dollar. When I do that, the rest falls into…

Good for him for sticking to his principles.

Your post has me thinking. There are vegan organizations, events, publications and websites to bring vegans and vegetarians together. I don't see that for omnivores. Sure I see recipe books and cooking magazines, but not the same way I see it for veggies. It's like a veggie brotherhood / sisterhood.

Walking, running and stair climbing, as everyone has mentioned are quick and simple to do. Notice I didn't say, "easy". That's up to how you push yourself. If you have stairs, you could run up, do some calisthenics, push ups, sit ups, etc. run down and do them again and just keep on going.

I second this. If that helps. I have Pavel's videos and they've worked well for me.

One more tip, if your budget allows: Buy your KB's in pairs. You have two hands. My first purchase was a single KB. Then I bought a matching one later. Since then I've bought in pairs. Welcome to the club Comrade!

Grapefruit is = Evil I like grapefruit. Therefore I am evil  Vive Grapefruit!

Yes, grapefruit has been known to interfere with some medications. I like grapefruit a lot and have never eaten it or other food to burn calories. That's the purpose of exercise. Food is for building, repairing and energizing our bodies. Grapefruit has vitamins, minerals and enzymes that do this. And it's so refreshing!

Kettlebells rock and it's all I use since I workout at home. They have lots of versatility in terms of strength training, cardio, and agility. The two best sources for information are www.DragonDoor.com, Pavel Tsatsouline's site and www.MikeMahler.com. I have videos by both. You may be able to find something on Amazon or…
