Thats why I tried increasing from 1200 to 1400 and add carbs....ad it got me 10lbs more! I have tried increasing my calories before and I ALWAYS gain. I am 5"8 and currently 155 (after my 10 lbs gain) I am just going to try to cut back on the carbs, it seems to be the only way I can maintain my wt! Thanks!

I have been trying to transition into minimalist shoes (fivefingers) because I exercise better barefoot, and I am having some ankle and foot problems! I am not sure if I am going to be able to get used to it! It is a slow process I know......How is the bare feet other than the pain? I am icing taking ibuprofen and wrapping…

I do that too! I should have worded it differently I can see where it was confusing! and YES thank you I may just add extra carbs in the day before my long run, and keep the other days high protein! Great idea!! Its all a process of what works for ME!

no they were not the same originally I did 40 protein 30 carbs and fat then I changed it to 40 CARBS 30 protein and fat basically I increased carbs and decreased protein

Clean eating is the basic foods- lean meats (not processed) veggies, fruits, whole grains! Nothing processed or altered by man in any way!

I am the same way, sodium kills me.....and I try to watch it. This 10lb gain could be some sodium, but it is definatly FAT cuz my clothes feel it!

I personally use protein shakes/bars everyday.....It has helped me get passed a plateau. I limit my carbs to potatoes, brown rice and fruit, and eat higher amounts of protein. It definately wont hurt you!
