I've chosen goals that are doable yet will make a difference. Once I reach them I reevaluate and set a new goal. Funny thing it, I keep finding new goals. They get smaller ant smaller.

Take everything one day at a time. It's a journey, not a sprint. Make small changes and do what you can. Eventually you'll look back and be proud of what you've accomplished. You will have setback, but in general, if you continue to move forward you will make progress.

By the way your inspirations were similar to mine. 1. Want to live well for wife and children 2. Want to buy clothes anywhere. 3. Want to feel great about myself

Seems like we have a circle of either people who are or were 300+lbs and dropping. Just trying to stay on track. I'm down to about 241-244lbs. Originally 324lbs. Feel free to add me.

When I started at 321lbs I lost 4-7lbs/week. I was eating 2300 calories/day and cardio 3-4 times a week. Your plan is totally doable if you stay on reasonable track. Good luck!

Wow. I've never calculated my BMR. It's 2200+. According to MFP I need 2300 calories/day to lose 2lbs/ week. I scaled that back to 2000 calories/day. Personally I just went with MFP and tweaked it a little. Good luck.

I started out January 2013 at 321lbs with a 100 day challenge. I lost 65lbs and went on to lose a total of 80+ lbs. my weight has crept up a bit to the point I started tracking my food again. I never did stop my cardio but I did add weights. So,some of that weight gain is muscle. I've been back,on the horse for 35 days and…

I think it depends on how much you weigh. On a percentage basis a man can lose 10% and it looks a lot more impressive in actual pounds. I lost 65lbs in 100 days early last year. Beyond that has been more of a struggle. Partially because I'm less dedicated though.

I love reading my friends diet log to see what they are eating. My favorites are those that eat totally normal foods in reasonable portions. That's what I try to do. Cut out the absolute junk and eat reasonable food in reasonable portions.

I always have fruits, veggies, and water on hand. I snack non stop. I have my cereal and other foods portioned out the night before so I can be prepared.

I lost about 30lbs a number of years ago. Then fell off the wagon. Been pretty consistent for the last year. Keep on it.
