  • Not sure about all this. I have a BodyMedia and it logs my burn for sitting vs walking. If I walk consistently at a 2 - 3.5mph pace it shows I burn 6-8 (upwards of 10 if I speed it up more) calories a minute. Resting/Sitting/Sleeping I burn 1.2 cal per minute. Subtracting BMR... Still a higher burn than just sitting still.…
  • Just stunning! If I look 1/2 as good as you when I'm done, I'll be happy!
  • I stay between 100-200 carbs and eat as I please. I am also on Metformin which I think has helped somewhat. Other than that I haven't had any issues. Good diet, exercise. Pretty basic.
  • You are not alone in this, and I think its safe to say everyone struggles. I was told in my late 20s that I was prone for heart disease, type 2, infertility, you name it, I had it. I still struggle every day to exercise, but I have to admit, every day it gets a little easier to make the right choices. I woke up this…
  • I did the same thing with my body media, tried to maximize that deficit. I stalled BIG TIME. Almond and peanut butter became my friend. Very dense calories, and very tasty. I'm still working on upping my calories, and focus on making my deficit around 750. I've lost more that way than maintaining a 1,000 deficit.
  • I am a HUGE coffee drinker. I'd say 200 of my precious calories go towards that habit. Some days I have a sweetened creamer, others I have 1/2 & 1/2. Recently, I've been watering down the creamers with milk. I still have a Starbucks coffee now and then, just ask for less pumps of sugar and 2% milk. It hasn't hindered my…
  • I went through this, and still somewhat am. First time around, I lost my job back in 2008. At that point I gained a lot of weight. Topping out at 275lbs. That was the biggest I had ever been. I was in denial. I avoided scales, and I avoided my husband. It had gotten to the point where I would get winded just walking to the…
  • Mascarpone or Greek Yogurt
  • I use a lot of Joseph's Bakery stuff, you can find them online. The only place I've been able to find them is Walmart. The wraps are to die for and has pretty much taken place of all my bread intake :) Everything I have bought from them is delicious.
  • Love BodyMedia Fit, its worked well for me, and keeps me in check.
  • Hi there, I noticed that you do a lot of quick adding calories. One thing that has definitely helped me, is taking the time to add the foods that you are eating. I started weighing my food, and it was amazing to see how much more I was eating than I "thought". Also, I do a lot of late night snacking partially because my…
  • I will say no. I recently got a BodyMedia fit and while they are not 100% accurate with the calorie burn per day. I've learned that at the sedentry level MFP thinks I burn 2200 a day just sitting still, but its not true. I burn more like 1900 with out exercise. I eat 1500 calories. If I were to eat back my exercise…
  • I have a BodyMedia, and my exercise was WAY off from what MFP predicts. Which is HUGE because a lot of people eat back exercise calories. Its also eye opening to see what you, "think" you're doing during the day vs what you're actually doing. I have found it really helpful in keeping me motivated and have lost 10lbs in 3…
  • Also, one thing I learned this week. Weigh the food you're eating. Get a food scale. It may seem obsessive, but what I thought 1TBS would look like, ended up being 2. While I was still controlling portions and losing weight, it made me think if I would have ate more cautiously I could have lost a couple more pounds just by…
  • I just got mine, and its a neat little tool. I got it from Home Shopping Network on a Flex pay. Makes it a little easier to afford it, and I got 6 months free. If you do a little looking around, I also found a $20 off coupon making it about $86 with tax. Just a suggestion :)
