Honestly, I found cutting it way down to be much easier. Coming home after a long day and saying "no wine" made me feel deprived (a feeling I am not used to), and I felt it was a recipe for disaster/binge. So, limiting myself has really helped me and made me feel a sense of control. I realized I was drinking way too fast…

I have been cooking our rice and quinoa in vegetable broth :) Yum!

Update! So today is day 4. I have not stopped completely. Instead, I have cut it by more than half. I log every single calorie I consume. I have lost 2 pounds. :) I am proud of myself because I am showing self control. Hopefully I can be good this weekend lol.

Thank you guys! I did buy a couple bottles to have around for my husband and if I did want to have a glass one night, because I don't like to deny myself of everything,. That seems like it would frusterate me since I'm already so diligent with my food. I want to show myself I can change this pattern. :) I can do this!

I think it's totally counter productive to use a pill (dangerous amphetamines at that) to begin your journey to health. You need to show yourself you CAN do this and without any magic pills. You need to learn how to do this THE RIGHT WAY, or you will very likely fail. I'm sorry if that is harsh, but it is truly how I feel.

Ok this cycle was weird......no symptoms other than a bit of salt craving and drank more wine. But my mood was FINE! Until the day before I started. I wanted to kill everyone and got so mad at my husband I made a hole in the wall with the door. Jeebus.

I do 20-40 minutes on the stepmill, and hour of body pump, and an hour of Zumba on Saturdays. I burn 900-1200 calories.

I started my period Saturday morning. I worked out vigorously (sp? lol) for 3 hours.

But if you read all the posts, she is not close to this niece at all. She barely knows her. She is closer to another niece and would likely have handled it differently. This subject is not black and white. I don't agree that we can run around talking to any kid the way we want to because we are adults.

How about "it's not my role"? I for one would be pretty upset if someone chose to have a talk about my kid's behavior in private without my knowledge. I spend a lot of time and energy instilling values into my kids and I would hate for someone to talk to them and try teaching something the way they they feel is right when…

Exactly. It is not my role nor my right to try to parent any child other than my own unless I am hired to do so. (I was a nanny once)Too bad her parents don't seem to be succeeding at parenting, but it's not OP's place to try to parent her in a social setting without the parents being involved.
