My current favorite is Braeburn. Extremely sweet and flavorful.

Welcome to MFP! I'm sure you'll get 30 different perspectives to your questions. But I'm sure with a little research and trial and error you will figure all of this out pretty quickly. A highly debated topic here that causes many arguments. Personally, I eat back at least 50% of them. This is where trial and error comes…

Wow, I know it's been a couple of months since the original post, but I still have to say congratulations. Even though I'm a guy, I'm definitely inspired by this post and I thank you for sharing it. An absolutely amazing transformation. Keep up the hard work.

This explains why I've gained 3 pounds, I cried this morning when I spilled my coffee, and I have liquid poo explosions every 20 minutes. How long does this last!? Should I exercise harder to lose the 3 pounds?

Yep. I stay pretty busy and I when I have time to spend on MFP, I like to support my friends. If someone has some sort of exclusion policy on their profile page that includes me, why should I spend my time trying to befriend or support them? It doesn't make any sense to me. They do what they need to do, I do what I need to…

I don't take it personally. There are a lot of different kinds of people on this website and I'm not going to get along with everyone. If someone wants to limit their friends list for whatever reason, that's their prerogative. Personally, I'm thankful for the little disclaimers people put on their profile. It tells me from…

Do you remember what happened last night? My credit card is maxed out, there's underwear in my car and it burns when I pee.

$15.00. I got 6 bags for $2.50 each. Reese's Peanut Butter cups, Crunch Bars, Butterfinger, Snickers, and Tootsie Rolls. We will probably have between 80-100 kids stop by tonight. They seem to come in big groups all at one time. When the candy is gone, it's gone. But I did set a few of my favorites aside just for me. So…

Hmm..if you're the author I will definitely check this out later on. I always enjoy reading your posts.

Who are you directing your last sentence to? Are you saying that I'm somehow confusing the difference between laughing about dumb stuff and being a jerk to new people?

I can't speak for the OP (don't know her) or the threads you're talking about (didn't read them). I'm just saying, in my opinion, that there has been an increase of "toxic topics" over the past few months and it drives people away from the forums.

Pretty much the same here. Except change 11 months to 10 months and 80% to 85%

I think the groups feature that they're talking about will be a big success for MFP. It will make the forums look welcoming, informative, professional, etc to new users. And it will let the people who want to use MFP for other things hang out in private with the group that they want. Sounds like a win-win to me.

It's gotten to the point that I avoid the forums at all costs. I've been here going on 10 months and the last 2 have been really bad. It sucks because when I joined, I found a lot of great information here. I'd like to give back some information I've learned along the way, especially to the people just starting out, but I…

Sounds like a good start to the day. Congrats!

It's definitely scary, it goes against our intuitions. Try adding 100 a week so that it's gradual and it won't be as scary. :)

If a marketing or a business degree is really important to you, then I would consider transferring to another school. A MBA is great, but it requires a large financial commitment, so keep that in mind. If you go to a school with a business program, they should be able to help you find an internship opportunity to get your…

When you're down to your 10 last pounds you probably should strive for .5 pounds a week instead of 1. That would change your deficit to ~ 250 a day instead of 500. It will be a slow process but it works. I joined MFP in January and from Jan - May I was losing 2 lbs per week pretty consistently by keeping a 1,000 calorie…

Just keep at it dude. The hardest part about losing weight is that it requires discipline over a long period of time. I think you're heading in the right direction. You're educating yourself about your food choices and you're trying to lead an active, healthy lifestyle. The biggest thing I've learned about myself and…

First of all, you need professional advice so I would take whatever you read here with a grain of salt, including my post if you want. I had a laminectomy and microdiscectomy on L4/L5 in 2005 at the age of 23. My doctor also told me to lose weight or I would be a candidate for a fusion within 5/10 years. My weight has…

Just use today as a learning experience. You had a pretty good size dinner, so there's no reason to cram food down tonight just to eat the remaining calories. But, it would be a good idea to think about planning ahead in the future to avoid having a bunch of calories left over. A good size breakfast would be a good start.…

I think a lot of people are only thinking in the context of their relationship. They're not thinking about a stranger who has questionable intentions. That's why I said if it were a stranger hitting me then they would be hit back. Women are less likely to commit a violent crime so as men we don't have as much to worry…

You're right. I can't answer for anyone else but this is my reasoning. If a woman slaps me in the face as hard as she can, it's going to sting but I will be ok. I'm not talking about a full on assault, I'm talking about a single slap. It will bruise my ego but it won't do any real damage. It doesn't work the same when the…

If it's my wife, family member or friend then no. I probably did something to deserve it. If I didn't deserve it then I would file assault charges. If it's a complete stranger that I feel is a threat to myself or my family, then she's going down and anyone else with her is going down too. I wouldn't even think twice to…
