  • I find grilled pork chops to be tough- what cut do you use? Bone-in? I used to brown them then smother and simmer in onion gravy for hours until fall off the bone tender so now am looking for a better way and still have them be tender. I bet I could brine them before grilling . . .
  • @slova- you make that sound so simple and delicious. Thank you. I've not cooked with curry paste but there is a lovely international market near me I will try and hope I don't get anything too hot!
  • I'd love some of the curry and stew recipes!
  • I can't believe so many people need a book to tell them to not eat an entire jar of mayo!! Is there no common sense when it comes to eating? Nuts are calorie and fat dense but good for you, just eat them as needed, the same goes for other foods. Does someone have to print and publish that it's not a good idea to consume 4…
  • I don't know if it's hating at this point versus being TOTALLY ignorant and passing along inflammatory information for the sake of causing a stir. But I do see a lot of crossfit hate, why do you think that is?
  • Oh, I found this from ascrit in a past thread and posted it. http://www.stack.com/2013/12/11/crossfit/
  • It was good, lots of choices, really fresh veggies but a little pricey. I'll go back for sure!
  • I have an electric wok (great for frying because it keeps a consistent temperature) but maybe it doesn't get hot enough. I might pick up a wok for the stove top this weekend and try that out. Thanks for the ideas!
  • I've never been good at stir frying- what's the secret to getting crisp cooked veggies? What sauces do you all use?
  • I tend to steam only one kind of veggie at a time b/c of cooking time differences and I like them crisp steamed. I usually add compound butters to my steamed veggies- and with spring around the corner there should be an abundance of fresh herbs to combine with ghee or kerrygold (that stuff is good on its own!) and just…
  • Oh how funny, I'm watching the last episode of season 1 right now and am settling in for a night of catching up on season 2!
  • Clutch what's your recipe? After a 70 degree sunny day yesterday it's windy and sleeting and chili sounds AMAZING.
  • Mix that sounds amazing, I might have to try it! Thanks for sharing!
  • I used to drink about 2 liters of real coke every day in college and when I started developing cavities I quit cold turkey. It wasn't easy. I'll have a sip of it now and again years later and am always shocked at how sickeningly sweet it is. I haven't had a cavity since. One day at a time, distract yourself, reward…
  • Good for you for tracking and being able to see such an improvement, use anything and everything you can to see how you've changed!! Great numbers!
  • "But whatever, I am sure there are some vegans which are huge ****s and incredible hypocrites. You can find that anywhere (including the paleo community) so it doesn't serve anyone to get all high and mighty about what this person does or what that person does or whether being vegan is awesome or stupid. Who cares? As far…
  • Lizz, that's an awesome plan and as much as I love to cook, days off are good too. Grokrockstar, thanks for the reminder about cauliflower rice- I might make some to go with the rogan josh.
  • Cracklin' chicken thighs and if I can get lamb stew meat rogan josh plus a veggie to take with lunches. It's going to be warm enough to grill this week, I can't wait!
  • I for one choose to eat how I eat because it makes me feel good, if other people choose to eat differently then that is their choice and far be it for me to judge them or make them out to "suck young girls into it and then they develop eating disorders". Wow, let's try and focus on ourselves and not malign other people for…
  • Amazing trans-formative pictures- thanks for sharing! You should definitely be comfortable going shirtless this summer. It was judgy, I come here to hopefully learn and not be judged.
  • I'm going to try this sometime this week- it looks amazing. Any suggestions on paleo dipping sauce? http://nomnompaleo.com/post/74180911762/cracklin-chicken
  • Lizz I love your veggie list, it reminded me to branch out more. I can not wait until spring and local produce is back at the markets.
  • I think it was the vehemence that struck me, there didn't seem to be any live and let live opinions.
  • Although I really love beans I'd just omit them. The idea of another can of tomatoes is good as well. I wouldn't add more sweet potato because it might unbalance the sweet/hot/savory thing going on. Report back please!
  • If you like wings this (below) is the best technique I've made so far http://www.preppypaleo.com/2013/10/crispy-paleo-chicken-wings-recipe.html I never knew about the boiling part but it really is the trick!
  • Such great ideas! I made the ham soup, and used potatoes (bad me!) and it's delicious. I went heavy on the garlic and cayenne and it made a TON. I'm hoping we get sent home early tomorrow so I can make the chicken (I got everything for it). And have a huge steak to grill up for steak salads. I needed to add different…
  • OMG that ham hock cabbage soup is JUST what I need. What would you sub out for pumpkin- rutabaga?
  • Oh, that spicy sticky chicken looks good, thank you. I know the key is to be prepared!
  • ascrit- recipes please!! Plucky, those are in no way small victories! Great job and thank you for sharing!
  • I always want new paleo friends! Feel free to add me :)
