New friends are always welcome and people are always complimenting me on how motivational and positive I am. :o) Send me an add if you like!

I have never been one to work out in front of people (except for a couple times where i walked on the treadmill at my college's fitness center) but last week I was invited by a guy from my church to join their Wednesday evening Devotional Boot Camp. I'm not a fan of doing anything resembling lunges or squats in front of…

Then let's be freaking friends then. No joke...add me...because I'm awesome.

Hey there! I'm often told that i'm a supportive and motivational friend. I'm still about 19 pounds from the 170's but I know I'll be getting there soon and I know I'll probably get stuck there as well and need support and motivation. Friends?

No Wii yesterday as I did other activities for working out. Was going to do my 2nd day of couch to 5k today but a migraine sidelined me...so I slept off the headache and now i'm gearing up to do a mid-length zumba core class instead.

Congrats on the loss in inches! I'm going 3 months between measurements but I can't WAIT to re-check my measurements in the beginning of April. I know I'm building muscle...because I can feel it aching after this week's heavier workouts. I had the same sitaution with being big. I know I'm big...at my heaviest I was 130…

I'm not a huge fan of frozen dinners but I love love love that Butternut Squash Ravioli one. If there is ever a sale on Lean Cuisines, I buy all of that meal that I can find. I prefer to make my own food but sometimes after working my 3 12-hour shifts in a row I need something that is quick to grab that I can take to work…

I got frustrated 3 weeks in because I was doing everything "right" but wasn't seeing a change on the scale. I just stuck with it and decided to focus on non-scale victories like seeing how my clothing fit, seeing if I could challenge myself further physically, etc. Stick with it! I also recommend doing measurements but…

This reminds me of something my mom always used to say to me when she was attempting to get me to work out. "Change needs to start within". Your husband needs to be his own cheerleader and his own motivator. You can go to the gym all you want together but unless his heart is in it, he won't reap the rewards. I suggest you…

I've lost 30 pounds total so far...but that took me about 2 years to do. I also did all but 6 pounds of that before I discovered mfp so lots of it was with yo-yo dieting. I'd say that you're making perfect progress. I tend to get frustrated not seeing a change in the scale more quickly by SO strictly sticking to the plan,…

Well said!

I am always up for more friends...and I'm also a very positive and supportive person. Feel free to send me an add!

36.3 miles - See the trees at Woody End across the fields to the South. Camp.

I think it's all about finding something that you enjoy doing. I don't have a gym membership (yet) but I do work out at home with Zumba for the wii. I also have done EA Active for the Wii and had fun with that too. I also get really bored doing the same things over and over. I think the key is to find something you like…

Hey all! I'm 4'11. My heaviest weight was 2 years ago (before i discovered mfp) when I was 230 (I still don't know how I got up that high). Current weight is 199.4 (goodbye 200's!). My goal weight is 110 (based on goal BMI, my bone mass, body structure, etc) and I would love to be into a size 4 (now I'm just into my size…

Just my 2 cents, but I personally would pass on it. If you want, I'd take a super-B complex vitamin but if you stick to the plan and find what works for you, you don't need all of the other stuff in the supplement. Most of the other stuff isn't scientifically proven to work and none of those supplements are regulated by…

Welcome to the first step. When I started here I swore no one understood my situation (I'm 30, short, and have 100 lbs to lose). I quickly came to find out that no one is alone here. We can all relate to eachother in one way or another...and I guarantee you will find someone with your same struggles and with the same type…

OMG! Is it too late to join in? I love the Hobbit (one of my fave books) and being a literature nerd who needs more physical activity, this sounds perfect for me. I'm using my Fitbit miles as of my Fitbit and physical activity start date of 1/16. I'm at 27.21 miles. Continuing east on the Road at a leisurely pace.

Can I join in? I love using my Wii for activity! I didn't Wii it yesterday but I did do an hour of Wii sports resort (bowling, cycling, and swordfighting) this morning after work. I'm hoping to wake up early enough this afternoon to fit in at least a short class of Zumba Core.

I LOVE Maurices jeans. I also live in Wrangler Aura jeans...they don't show your butt crack, don't gap when you sit down, are super comfy and really cute (not as "western" as they sound, I swear). I was so excited to be able to fit into my first pair of Silver Tab jeans last time I went jeans shopping and now I live in…

I've actually already got a tape measure. I did my measurements again at the beginning of the year (after 6 months) and I'm doing them every 3 months. At my New Years' measurements I was down in inches (well, sometimes quarters of inches) all over...but I knew I would be because I had lost over that 6 months. I'm sure when…

Surgery is definitely not an easy option. I work on a bariatric unit at the hospital (mostly post-op weight loss surgery patients) and they end up coming in SO frequently for SO many complications. Working on that unit absolutely sealed the deal for me as far as weight loss surgery goes. I would say go to the specialist…

Thank you all so much for the words of wisdom and support. It's so easy to be our own worst critic...and I am definitely completely critical of everything I do. I'm horrified that I let myself hit this weight and I am working so hard to make up for my past indiscretions. I've still got 3 more months before I do another set…

Finally did it! I weighed in this morning at 199.4. That last half a pound was killer! This is the lightest I've been in about 5 years...and I'm down from my highest weight of 230 after a good 2 years of yo-yo dieting. I love that I've found such an aweosme community that advocates healthy weight loss methods. You can do…

I also work night shift as a nurse. I end up having an extra meal on the night of the 2nd half of my shifts...but I make it a small meal, like a half serving of a regular meal. I also load up on low-cal snacks (like fruit and veggies) on that day so I don't feel hungry and tempted to snack in excess or overeat.
-
I go midnight to midnight because I work night shift as well. Hours in the day don't matter to me...as long as I'm logging for 24 consecutive hours. My diary on nights I work ends up looking sparse because I only eat breakfast and a late lunch...my "dinner" actually ends up being after midnight on the next calendar day.…

Thanks hon! I appreciate it!

As of my last weigh in I was at 200.4. I am SO close to seeing a number on the scale that starts with a 1. I haven't seen the 100's in about 5 years. It will be a huge milestone for me. As awesome as 199 will be, I would rather be at 189 because then I'm far enough away that I'll never see the 200's EVER again!

To buy a really cute designer dress without worrying about it not fitting or showing off my bulges. I can't wait to walk into Macy's and not have to head toward the "plus size" section. The ladies' dress section scares the daylights out of me right now. I also love showing horses and can't wait to fit into my cute show…
