  • Checking in from Minnesota but born and raised in Rhode Island :)
  • Checking in from MN. 100+ lbs to lose. I definitely need the challenge and motivation.
  • Como Park, St Paul. Feel free to add.
  • I feel ya man. I was big my whole life, stayed away from scales. I had to sleep with a cpap machine as well. At one of my biggest times, about a decade ago, i was 315-320 and decided for health and yes, vanity reasons too, that I needed to lose. I dropped to 198. Kept it off for a year or two then slowly it crept back on,…
  • Congrats! Inspiring :) I look forward to hearing about your continued success
  • Took it. I do wish more restaurants listed the info.
  • Lower body fat to 10%? Man, that's too tough. I don't think you can do that. ;-)
  • Weight loss doesn't always happen that quick and can fluctuate up to 7lbs in a single day. You might weigh yourself in couple more days to find you've lost several pounds. Try not to let it discourage you and don't weigh yourself that often. If you can't help but weigh yourself everyday, then just record the average at the…

  • I think they are the worst since I've lived in MN. By my house in St Paul anyway.
  • Salad bar restaurant? I've never heard of it. Flame in Roseville has a decent salad bar though.
  • Pardon me, for hijacking your thread OP, I have a similar question to anyone. I am male, 6'0, 312, according to MFP, my BMR was 2800 (estimated obviously) when I started, I changed my goal to 1800 calories but unless I go out to a restaurant and eat a 1000 calorie meal, I have a hard time eating up to my goal. More often I…
  • Hello, i'm Mike. I know the feeling. I lost over 100 lbs about 8 years ago and slowly put every pound back on. This is the first time since then that i'm serious about losing. I've lost 22 lbs in the past 47 days. Feel free to add anyone.
  • The low carb diet really works. I tired it before and lost a ton of weight. Unfortunately, I just couldn't keep it off in the long run. Breads are my biggest weakness. I'm trying a different approach this time around. Trying to limit myself to 50 carbs, though haven't been that successful, but the weight is coming off.
  • Rhode Island is my hometown, though I live in Minnesota now. I also have over 100 lbs to lose.
  • I wouldn't say you are weird. People are just raised different and have different likes and weaknesses. I can turn down any sweet, any cake or candy but ice cream is so hard for me to turn down. I almost ate a full half gallon tub once or twice. One of the reasons I got so big.
  • I agree. Especially Ben and Jerry's. I went to buy a pint of the salted caramel recently to treat myself, I read the facts, it said 4 servings at 270 cal per serving. I was like woah, never mind. I used to eat the whole pint half the time.
