The other day I had net calories -300 and I didn't get any notice I was eating too few calories. I ate enough, but then I burned them off. Is that why?

Agreed.

My pants are a bit small, so my gut pushes them down and hangs over them. That is the least favorite part of my workout, but it also keeps me motivated to know that my gut is getting smaller. I do pull them up a lot. I wonder how many calories that burns?

I've never been stalked, but I used to stand outside this guys window one rainy winter, hoping he would open his blinds or come downstairs, but he rarely did. When he did come out, I hid behind a tree and saw him carrying take out. Then I would go back to staring. And I'm totally kidding. I'm not some freak! lol

We're all adults here, we should know how to spell. The occasional wrong their or there slips in now and then, but really, we all went to grammar school. It will never be fixed, and I fear much of the younger generation (definitely not all) will bring grammar and spelling to an all time low.

Thank you all for your suggestions and encouragement. I'm very grateful for MFP.

Not losing weight is what I'm afraid of this week - my third. It definitely wasn't a planned action.

I love exercise and I see myself working out at a high intensity for the rest of my life because I love the way it makes me feel. You know, the good old runers high...

It's funny, when I was thinking of fatty foods, I was thinking of burgers and fries. The healthy fats didn't even cross my mind.

lol

I have been netting under 1200 because I'm just not hungry and I don't like the idea of eating fatty foods to make up the difference. I don't want to get used to them, then have to stop! lol Maybe a protein shake, but that won't make up for, say, a 500 calorie deficit. This is the first week I've had such large deficits…

A change in your exercise routine or a switch to a more intense workout may make a difference. Calorie staggering has worked for me. That's when you take the calories you're allowed per day, add them up for the week, and fluctuate during the week how many calories you eat each day, some higher than usual, some low all to…

I love to scan/read a post, then offer serious advice without making sure that advice might have already been given in other comments or to get a feel of the thread. Ah yes, paying attention is my strong suit.

Today is my 25th day according to MFP, and I don't plan on stopping. Feel free to add me!

Both Yoga and Pilates are good workouts. I'm just going to go with what everyone else has basically said - either find out when they are not there, or set a certain time of day when you'll be exercising for 30 - 60 minutes. It's a good way to keep you on a schedule for your workouts and hopefully they're flexible if…

G2 - Gatorade that's low in sugar and only 80 cals for 32oz. I have meds that make me constantly parched, and this is a great alternative.

Thanks for the reply. Regular Doc for the check out or a specialist?

I feel like one of the few who doesn't find her annoying. I love her workouts. I usually burn 300-400 calories on any that I've done.

Also the number on the HOME page and MY FOOD page match up, so I think it's fixed. Again, thank you all.

Thank you everyone for your input. I just made some adjustments to my profile and it says my NET CALORIES should be 1380. So after food and exercise I should have reached 1380 calories for that day, no? And a little less wouldn't hurt on those not-so-hungry days. Does this sound right?

So I shouldn't be eating 1200 and exercising, but eating, say 1500 and burning 300 in exercise?
