A male should be eating at least 1500 calories per day. How do you plan on fueling your workouts?? What did MFP give you as a calorie goal? I lost weight consistently eating 1400-1700 calories and I'm female and older than you.

Without seeing your diary can't give better suggestions but, check your logging for accuracy. Food scale will help with this, you can get one for under $20. Make sure you are logging everything, careful of generic and homemade entries. Have lots of patience and the flow chart above is really good.

Start small, don't try to make drastic changes all at once. Log your food, see what you're eating now. From there you can see ways to trim that down and get into the routine of logging. Looks like I've missed some really good ice cream and sweets! \ Today I made Kahlua ice cream with a chocolate swirl, this was just a small batch to test out a new base came out good but needs a little tweaking to make it better, I'll get pictures on the next batch.

I drink at least 5 cups before 7 am every day and typically another 3-5 cups during the day, some times more. If my worst vice is drinking too much coffee I'm good with that.

You should be eating more than 1300 calories a day. I'm not sure how tall you are. But there is no need to over restrict. Just to give you an example, I am much older than you, female, and lost over 100 lbs eating 1500-1900 calories per day. Good luck to you and everyone else.

Both of you need to just stop. 56 year old man that ate less than 1200 calories many days.. and the idiot pushing quick fix expensive garbage. She's young, doesn't have much to lose, a nutritionist is a waste at least recommend a damn dietitian. Stop offering crash diets, if she starts now she might lose a couple lbs…

We don't need to shock our systems, we just need to have patience and make sure you are in a deficit.
