Yes, use the Recipe log on here! It's so comfortable and I love that it calculates everything per serving. I cook 90% of my food, so I definitely use it every day, you get used to it very quickly, and like Kaliya89 said, soon enough you'll have most of your recipes on here, so it's get very easy to use.

That is a great question.

I used to live in China, so, every weird part of a pig: *kitten*, ears, feet, nose. Also, turtle, snakes, scorpions, tarantulas, etc. Oh, and geese testicles, which was actually a favourite. Stuff like frogs legs and snails and horse, but that didn't feel that weird...

Yes, that might be too little for you. I recommend you read this: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 IPOARM really saved me when I realised I was eating way under my BMR. Good luck! :)

Yes, I guess as vegans we do the best we can. Just think what suits you best and what is more ethically correct for you. For myself, I think it's more vegan of me to create a safe, loving home for stranded animals. That is worth buying pet food from the meat industry.

So, this is quite a big topic for me because I struggle with this with the beautiful cat that's been with me for 10 years now. Obviously, giving her up for adoption was not an option when I became vegan, I am aware that by buying her cat food, I am supporting the industry I am personally against, but cats are pure…

YES. :)

Just sounds like a bunch of excuses to me. The only reason for continuing to eat other animal products is the selfish need to satisfy your taste buds.

It sounds a bit cheesy, but I just changed the way I see it and the way I think about Hypothyroidism. It really made a big difference physically when I stopped seeing it as an obstacle and an excuse and started seeing it as a small challenge that can easily be overcome... My thyroid has been so balanced since! Most days I…

Try to eat foods that are concentrated in calories... like idream2bgwen said, almonds and avocados are a good example. Try to snack on nuts and dry fruit between meals, and make sure you have a good balance of protein and complex carbs (whole grains) in meal-times. Most days when I exercise, I try to eat a vegan protein…

Hello! Welcome to MFP. You're welcome to send me a request, I'd be happy to support you :)

Thank you again, everyone, for the comments! I really appreciate you all pitching in, sharing your wisdom and experience. I have been doing some research as well and realised what I have been eating far too little.. so now it's about reducing my cardio, putting in some strength training, and upping my cals! Let's see how…

I love Oh She Glows, I think that's my favourite. I also use: - www.thesweetlifeonline.com - www.mygreendiet.com - www.mouthwateringvegan.com - www.holycowvegan.net - www.happyherbivore.com - www.theveganstoner.blogspot.ca (great for fast, easy, simple food) To be honest, I get most of my vegan recipes on Pinterest :)

Vegan for a year and a half and planning to continue for life! The best decision I have ever made! For those thinking of being vegan, the easiest way is to educate yourself. Here's a good place to start: http://youtu.be/es6U00LMmC4 and: http://youtu.be/_eQHF0laR4A Enjoy! And good luck! :D

Hello! I too would love to have some vegan friends on here (a bit tired of my other friends' posts about their steak dinner). :)

Yes, have read it. Definitely has that shock factor with the facts in there and the way they present the information. I liked it, I can't say it changed anything for me since I already consume very, very little processed foods or chemicals, I don't drink alcohol and I have coffee or tea about once in a couple of months.…

Woah. THANK YOU EVERYONE!! :) I was not aware that that 2 to 3 hours of cardio is much. I just love exercising, I do my Qi Gong and some kind of aerobics in the morning, then I have a swim in the afternoon (it's summertime where I live so I can't miss the beautiful weather) and I take a 1 hour jog/walk in the evenings to…

Being healthier and happier! I also keep fashionable clothes that I love and that don't fit me yet, on the eye-level shelf in my closet, so I see them everyday and remember how much I would love to fit into them! When I began, I wrote a contract with myself, so I read that when the road seems long and tough, and I also…

Hello all! Anyone is welcome to send me a friend add :) Looking for people to support and for people to support me a little too.

I started tracking my sodium recently too... but for the complete other reason that most people here have mentioned. My mum was in hospital recently for having very, very low Sodium. I found out I am very low on it too... I hardly make it to 500 out of my 2,500 daily allowance. So I actually should be adding salt to my…

And, for the "Where do you get your protein? You will die without sufficient protein!" one... I always answer with "Where do you think giraffes and elephants get their protein?". That always shuts people up.

The thing that really gets to me, and breaks my heart is when my meat-eating friends complain to me about dogs or cats being abandoned/tortured while eating their burger that many animals were tortured and murdered for. Also, I'm from Kenya, and people here always complain about the elephant and rhino poachers... yet it's…

It's kinda cheesy, but Let's Go (by Calvin Harris ft. Ne-Yo) always gets me pumped, no matter if I'm running or doing aerobics or weights. Mostly a big mix of electro-pop keeps me going. Oh, and I'm a big heavy metal fan, but for some reason I just cannot focus on my workouts if I'm listening to it. I go for the softer,…

Haha! S'okay.. I think I'll live :)
