I think some people are more sensitive than others. I have a great women's bike seat but I have found the best solution for me is to wear 2 pair of the padded shorts when I ride. It helps a lot.

Obviously I know how to use Google, but since this specific brand of pork chops was in the mfp nutrition facts, I assumed someone here already makes these. You know how pork chops are - if you're not careful they dry out fast. Anyway, thanks for the brilliant suggestion to use Google.

Impressive! I'm new to biking, working on increasing my distance each time. So far up to 20 mile rides, did a total of 38 miles this weekend. It's good to know what kind of speed to strive for on average. Keep up the great work!

I am loving the side salad from McDonald's with a little low fat balsamic vinagrette dressing that they have there. Very low cal, in fact I pick one up some days to eat at home with my other lunch food like tuna. One night I had to eat there and I had the side salad with just the meat from an Angus burger - it was pretty…

Last time we went to DisneyLand in CA, they had healthy options for dining. I was pleased that we could order grilled chicken and salads, and even the kids meals came with fresh fruit, etc. Not too bad!

I would just like to commend you on your great attitude! People replied with tips or ideas and you thoughtfully replied to each one in a positive way. I like that! I struggle with the scale, too so my current goal is to have my jeans get looser!

I'm in! My husband and I bought road bikes about a month ago, and we are having a blast riding on Saturdays and Sundays. We ride a minimum of 8 miles each ride, and on Saturday we made it more than 12 miles! We're having fun and trying to increase our fitness, also eating healthier. Love it!

What are some good ideas for Toppings? This sounds really good!

Wow, I can't wait to make this! Thanks for sharing.

Tradle, I'm starting over again with you. I fell off the wagon, too. I had done so great since last December, had not only lost weight but also really built nice muscle so I could fit into cute clothes! It's been one thing after another since August, including injuries stopping me from exercising, a very sick daughter, you…

Count me in, and don't forget about delicious kiwi! My kids love those, too. Also spinach cooked just for a minute in a nonstick pan to make it wilty and warm as a side dish. And of course apple slices with peanut butter or with laughing cow cheese. Yum, I'm out of calories today but will start with these tomorrow!

Yesterday I went to the Subway website nutrition page because I wanted to try something new and I was logging all my food in the morning to make a plan for the day. I read the small print and was pleasantly surprised that on all sandwiches except the "Under 6 grams of fat" group, the calorie count included cheese! So I was…

Can't wait to try these new ideas. Thanks!

I'm in a strange position now: When I started my weight loss journey on MFP in December, I wanted to lose 40 - 47 pounds. If I lost 47 pounds, that would put me at my high school weight. Well, I lost 25 pounds, and I work out like crazy, so interestingly enough, I have put on so much muscle that I gained back 8 of those…

I've got to agree with the poster who said that just couldn't be right. I swim laps for 45 minutes solid, with my feet never touching the bottom of the pool, no breaks at all. Surely I'm burning at least what mfp tells me. When I get out of the water, I'm totally worn out and feel like I ran that whole 45 minutes. PLEASE…

Good job on working with what you had and improving it! There's a website I have used before that has frugal recipes - they are back to basics and don't use too many ingredients. It is hillbillyhousewife.com. Funny name, but I did find it helpful and tagged it as a favorite so I can go back to some of the recipes. For…

Also I have learned from this forum that when you start exercising, your muscles tend to hold onto water in the beginning, which makes your clothes fit tighter. Keep working out and this problem will go away. It seems a lot of us get stuck at certain times in the process, but I have faith that eventually we'll break…

I'm just glad I worked out hard today and had 750 calories left for dinner, so I still have a tiny bit left after eating that cupcake. This celebration was not planned in advance! Also today I learned that I've crossed some sort of positive line - I enjoyed that one cupcake and had no desire to eat more, and that's…

I recently bought some old time classics and they are so fun for running and working out. I bought Brick House, Stayin' Alive from Saturday Night Fever, Walking in LA from the 80s, Fight For Your Right to Party by the Beastie Boys, Men in Black by Will Smith - all very fun and high energy.

I made my own running playlist for my ipod using music I love. I took slower songs and used 2 to 3 of them as a warm up, then I did a sequence of 2 or 3 faster songs for running, one slower song for walking, 2 or 3 faster, one slower, etc ending with 3 slow songs for a cool down. Itunes tells you exactly how long each song…

I have to drive past a few of those places on the way home from my gym, too. I only keep $2 to $3 in my glove box. If I've had a really big workout, I drive through McDonald's and buy a lowfat chocolate milk. Delicious and great for muscle recovery. Most days, I drive through and buy a Diet Coke. That's my treat, and I…

I'm guilty, too, of letting this weekend's celebration eating get out of hand. We went out to eat for Mother's Day, and since I ordered the grilled salmon and broccoli, I started eating those delicious rolls that were on the table. When I got home I logged my food and was shocked to find that each roll had over 200…

Garlic laughing cow eaten with granny smith apple slices - delish!!

What do I need to start this program besides the DVDs? And how much space - trying to figure out if the bedroom or living room will work best. How long is each day's workout? (Is is like one workout per day for 90 days, or what?) I know nothing about P90x except everyone always says how great it is and how hard it is. I…

Quit weighing but keep working hard at exercise and good nutrition. Then weigh in about two weeks and you will be pleasantly surprised by a nice drop. This is the way it works for me because I also got discouraged by my daily weigh ins. Now I just say to myself, "I know I am losing weight and looking better. I can't wait…

You guys rock! You're such a supportive group. I will remember these tips when I have another day like that one - they tend to happen occasionally!

I love to make mine a delicious taco salad while my family eats crunchy tacos. I go heavy on a really nice lettuce - whatever looks freshest at the store, then I measure my taco meat and black beans, just a sprinkle of cheddar, plenty of salsa, sometimes a measured amount of light sour cream or light ranch dressing if I…

Finished my run: 510 calories! Now for a nice shower. Enjoy your weekend!

Count me in! I'm about to go run and walk with a new playlist I made for my iphone. I bought new songs on itunes so I won't be bored! It adds up to 40 minutes of running and 23 minutes of walking. Starts with a 6minute long song to walk and warmup. Then 4 songs to jog, one to walk, 3 to jog, one to walk, 3 to jog, and ends…

Hang in there. Growing up is so rough. One day you'll be able to look back on this time and you will have made the successful journey to a great adult life. Right now you don't understand your parents sometimes and they don't understand you sometimes. Please keep trying, just like you've already done. When tensions aren't…
