  • I avoid processed foods as much as I can. I always have individual serving sizes of soups and chilli in my freezer for a quick fix. Cook more than I can eat so I can have left-overs as well for variety. I eat either fresh or frozen vegitables. That being said there is still some processed foods in my diet, cheese, yogurt.…
  • How much Fat are you eating? Are you eating enough fat? I find that when I get plenty of the Good Fats in my diet (Avacado, nuts, even bacon) I loose more weight that week. And if I eat too many sugar things I don't loose much.

  • I'm seeing a specialist too on July 12th. I think I'm just going to make a list of my concerns from research and other's experiences and go from there.

  • Good luck! My biggest piece of advise is not to think about it. Try not to think about what the signs of pregnancy are and look for them in you. I've been trying for a year and when I think on it a lot and get signs of pregnancy. And with PCOS you tend to get some of those signs, you end up very dissapointed. I've been…
  • What the other's suggested is good, the other option is getting something like a fitbit and sync it with your MFP and that will adjust your calories burned by the amount of movement.
  • The straps are elastic and adjust. Ask the person where you buy it at if you can try on the strap before buying it. Then you will know it will fit you. I find it comfortable I do need to be careful where the tag is because it has rubbed me wrong and left a scratch but I do wear it doing all of my exercise which includes…
  • All larger restaurant chains such as buffalo Wild wings are suppose to have the nutritional information available. Actually Buffalo Wild Wings has it available online.
  • I really didn't have many side affects from taking it. I do have some digestion issues but a pro-biotic helps with those. My DR had me start on half the dosage she wanted me on and then after two weeks increase it to the full dose. I think that helped me not have many of the side affects. PS. I always take mine with food.
  • This has been one of the biggest struggles I have had during my past weightloss attempts. But for me it's also that if I eat something that is unhealthy, my body craves the unhealthy stuff. I actually have to fight myself in order to get back on track after a bad day. One bad meal is usually not that bad for me but if I…
  • I cook on weekends and freeze stuff in individual servings and just grab out of the freezer in the morning and go to work. I let it thaw at my desk and by the time it's time to eat it's almost completely thawed out. Skinnytaste.com has lots of good freezer receipes.

  • Hi! Welcome and Good luck!
  • Some people will differentiate between the two so they realize that when they don't exercise they may not have those extra 800 calories to eat. And also like someone said here that it's not one size fits all. Every person is different every person loses weight differently and different types of calories affect each person…
  • First of all I would just like to tell you what a good husband you are being by reaching out to us women with PCOS to get a better understanding of how to help your wife. Also for understanding that some of her behaviors could be do to the PCOS and the hormones she is taking. I have always suffered for anxiety and I did…
  • I could see my own husband doing this if I had him running with me. (But I think my husband knows he would make me cry so doesn't even try) Sounds like your husband knows your goals and the importance to you so he's helping you push yourself to your limits to achive those goals!
  • Nuts Dried Fruit (with no added sugars) Trail Mix Seeds (Sunflower, Pumpkin)
  • If you are going to weigh yourself every day it is important to understand that our body flucuates each day. I am a person who will step on the scale everyday but I only record it on Friday mornings, same time, same scale. This loss could be a number of things it could be that yesterday when you weighed you were retaining…
  • I stopped buying low-fat stuff after hearing this so many places. Glad you pointed it out!
  • I have PCOS and Insulin Restance as well. I don't track my sugar becasue like someoen said MFP does not distinguish between natural sugars and added sugars. I eat a good amounts for Fruit, and Vegitables, I have cut out Simple Carbs as much as possible. And FYI I have found that Brown Rice Pasta tastes even better than…
  • I'm the same way one bite too much and a gallon or the entire bag of what ever it is, is not enough. I just learned this January that I was insulin Resistant and it explained a whole lot. If I could do this past week again I will still not worry on the wedding day like I did, but I would make sure I did not go out to eat…
  • A few weeks ago I had a regular instead of small pizza from Solo's and was going to take half of it home. Well I didnt' take 1/2 of it home but I ate the rest when I got home. But it seems that since it was whole wheat crust it didn't send me into the tail spin that this weekend did. This weekend I had Cake, cookie,…
  • look good, I'll have to look at this at home and pin the recipe! Thanks for sharing.
  • I exercise every day of my period. I have found though that if I think my period is done (the first day it's done) and it is a run day I will flow for about 2 hours again after during and after the run.
  • Good luck! When my husband and I went off Birth Control I did not know I had PCOS, I was diagnosed after trying for 8 months. My expierence was that my period would start getting longer and longer so I had quite a few months where I thought it was the month just to be let down. Those months were the hardest for me…
  • My experience with weightloss is that I NEED to workout 6 days a week, I have seen others on the forums say they too need to work out to lose weight. Now everyone is different some people may not need to workout as much. If you are not going to do more than a day a week of workout you need to focus on your foods, do you…
  • Thanks that's good to know! Those are the things I like to hear!
