I work a 40 hour a week desk job and I work out every other morning and during lunch every day (We have a gym ant work.) I take the dog for a walk when I get home, I take the stairs, I drink lots of water so I have to take lots of trips to the bathroom.

fat per I wish the DR's would forget about the BMI and look at body fat percentage only! I think that it's going to be a problem with me too because I have worked out while I gained weight and I have lots of lean muscle as well (I still have more fat that I should) but I have a feeling I will never be within the standard…

that's good that your following your Dr's suggestion. I hope you find the right dosage for you. If you don't notice any changes after increasing ask you DR about other medications. I see other's talking about other medications they use on here. I have never looked into others because the Metformin has worked well for me.…

I focus much more on the types of food I put into my mouth, I do eat cheese (Like it too much to give that up.) for breakfast I eat egg whites and usually Turkey Ham, for snacks I have grape tomatoes, Sugar snap peas, nuts, unsalted almond butter, celery, apples fruit, sweet peppers, greek yogurt, for lunch I have some…

Everyone has different symptoms but some of them include.... Easily to gain weight hard to loose weight carrying most of your weight in the midsection, irregular periods or heavy periods, hair on your face and neck, thinning hair, acne, anxiety, fatigue, if it comes along with insulin resistant then you may have a large…

Welcome to the club! We actually have a PCOS group here on MFP I suggesting checking it out. I was diagnosed at the beginning of this year and started on Metformin, since then I have I adopted clean eating low carb, low gluten lifestyle. I have lost 54 lbs since January with dedication, hard work and researching what is…

You're welcome! I started out at 500 MG for 2 weeks to get use to it and then I went up to 1000 MG. Because I had already made some changes when I started on the Metformin my weight loss started immediately. I started off at 265, so I am one of those with the higher weights. I have insulin resistance and what the Metformin…

You really shouldn't be increasing your dosage without the supervision of your DR. I have had success with Metformin and weight loss, however I do work hard for my weight loss still. I can't just rely on the food I also have to do quite a bit of exercise. I work out at least 90 minutes most days, and there are many days I…

I eat snacks every day and plan them into my day. I am insulin resistant so it is very important below are some of the things I have - Fresh Mozzarella Sticks (From Trader Joes) - Greek Yogurt - Grape Tomatos - Sugar Snap Peas - Raw nuts or seeds (Almonds, trail mix, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds) - Sweet Peppers - celery…

I weigh myself every day but Sunday (That's my rest day). But I only record it once a week on the same day of the week. I understand that my weight can fluctuate during the week and just because I am up one day and way down the next day doesn't mean that's what my official weigh in is going to look. I do suggest weekly…

So actually you are agreeing with me because you calculate your BMR and subtract it from the MFP burned. most people don't want to do that work or calculation.
-
Improtant thing to remember is that MFP does inflate the Cals earned during exercise. It's best to get a heart Rate Monitor and record your calories burned from that. It is common that most people under estimate their food and over estimate their calories burned. I would suggest measuring everything and trying to eat back…

I do agree that you should maybe get a second opinion because eating 900-1100 calories is going to be hard to stay on. But as far as your weight loss stalling it hasn't if you lost 4 lbs in 2 weeks that's great. The average person looses at a rate of 1-2 lbs per week. Don't expect quick results, it may be quick right away…

Feel free to add me.

Congratulations! YOu look great!

I believe that I do.

If it's PCOS come check us out at P.C.O.Sis group here in MFP and you can get some ideas of how to eat from other PCOSers no offence to other's but people who don't have PCOS have a hard time understanding the special nutritional needs we have. Most of use eat low carb/gluten free and are learning other suplements that…

Check out Skinnytaste.come I make lots of recipes from there. i have the Chicken Enchilada soup a lot. I have salads on the side, or green beans. I make lots of stuff with chiken so this week I made chicken enchilada casarole (basically everything you would put into enchiladas but the tortillas). Sometimes I will buy a…

love reading all the other things that you guys enjoy. and I have to second the Sex comment. I think my husband would probably 3rd that (he didn't have to loose weight but I know he enjoys it better that I have now.)

When you ave the additued of I can't do it you are absolutly right you cann't. But when you have the additued of I can I will even if it's a 1/2 a pound at a time I will do then guess what you will! I agree with those saying to eat real foods. That is how I have been trying to eat and I have been seeing great results, and…

Thanks! It does feel good to be starting more aggresive Treatment. Ok that's good to hear that not everyone has the extreem ovulation pains. My DR doesn't think I need to do anything more unless the Clomid doesn't work. I am thinking though that because my insurance should cover seeing more of a specialist that if it…

I've heard a lot about cinnamon , I started taking it and I started to become hungrier on cinnamon so I begain to eat closer to what the trainer wanted me to 1700 calories when I don't work out and I noticed that my weightloss did not change it actually might have sped up slightly despite the increased food.
-
Thanks for telling me your experience I'm sure I will be one with bad mood swings as I can already have them I'll have to warn my husband about the mood swings. Good to know about the ovulation pains as well to expect something. So are you taking Clomid right now too? If so Good luck to you too! I hope it doe the trick for…

hmmm, I just may have to try this sounds interesting and worth trying. Thanks for sharing!

Congratulations! That's great I see you are very close to your goal! That could be by you are stuck were you are at. Change something up a bit either the number of calories you are eating or how much you work out, or what you do when you work out. Again congratulations on being so close to your goal weight!

Am I understanding this correctly that you lost 11 lbs in a week? If I am then it is completely normal to only have a 1/2 lb the next week. IT is not normal to loose 10 lbs a week many people do their first week on a weight loss plan but then it evens out to be about 2 lbs a week. Don't change anything rash don't give up…

Bravo for saying this. I was just thinking today that I am so happy that I am loosing weight while eating, when I'm hungry I eat. I do think many people need to here this. (You may though consider me one of the over trained I'm always under my goal because of the calories burned but eat 1700 to 2100 calories a day)

Everyone has different needs, you need to eat in a way you can be healthy but yet maintain this lifestyle. I would not suggest ignoring Sodium and Sugar though, both of those things can cause issues do remember though that there is a difference between sugar from fresh fruits and vegetables and added sugar in processed…

I don't think you are throwing yourself a pitty party. All of your concerns are valid, and It's great the you wrote them down. I'd suggest copping it into a blog for easy finding it again. If I were in your situation would have the same exact anxieties. Good luck with the surgery and I hope that you stay on MFP during this…
