Nuts Avacados Peanut butter (check the sugar and sodium content of what you buy) Chicken Fish Shell Fish Eggs I'll double check my diary setting and you can look at my diary for what I eat during the day. I have issues with my sodium some days but my calories are always above 1500 calories these days. you'll see I eat lots…

one of the reasons your sugar is high is because you eat low fat they replace the fat with sugar. remember that Fruit is real sugar not processed sugar you are much better to replace processed low-fat stuff with some real foods than cutting out your fruit.

Are you tracking your food? By asking what the diary is i assume you are not because your food diary is where you track your food for the day. If you are not tracking your food it could be you are not consuming at 1200 calorie diet. Do you snack a lot throughout the day? Those things add up. Do you weigh and messure your…

I admire your strength. Most days I am able to stay strong and lean on God and rely that everything will turn out as it should. But Mother's day I just couldn't stay strong it was too hard. I'm sorry that you were faced with having to be mother's past my husband didn't like that one of his friends had posted something on…

Like the other two said PCOS is misunderstood. There are some books out there about it I recommend reading them. I do want to correct one thing, you can your period if you don't ovulate it is called anovulatory (Something like that) cycle. After starting Metformin in January I started to ovulate for sure in March and I had…

The research I have done also suggests that you can have Polycystic Ovaries and not have PCOS.

I was diagnosed at 31, after trying to conceive still trying going on a year. Hopefully I can say I conceived at 32. Good luck, and I think it's good to be thinking about this now and figuring out a plan and getting mentally prepaired for it taking some time.

If you are eating all day long things like Greek Yogurt, almonts, Oatmeal, apples, Chicken, Fish Carrots then you are not recording your food properly. I do not see how you could be only taking 600-1200 calories with those foods, greek yogurt has roughly 140 calories, a serving of amonds can be up to 200 calories, oatmeal…

How low carb are you going? Have you tried doing low carb in the sence of low refined simple carbs. I consider myself low-carb but I still get between 90-120 carbs a day. I am loosing weight at a good rate 50 lbs in 120 days. Now I have to eat this way because I am insulin resistant so it's a little easier to stay away…

I'm just woundering have you tried talking to a dietition who specializes in PCOS or trying the PCOSDIVA Jump Start Program. Trust me I know how hard it is to loose and maintain weightloss when you have PCOS as I too have PCOS. I have found when I remove most of the processed foods from my diet and limit my added sugar…

wow! YOu don't even look like the same guy!

I hope that everything works out for you. I didn't have any acne problems with Metformin I had slight Acne Problems before Metformin but after going on Metformin the acne went away. (I wish my facial hair would do the same) Give it a litte time maybe your body needs some time to adjust.

Take them to a running store and see if they are right for you because what you are describing happens to me when the shoes I have are not right for me.
-
Where is the pain? YOu could either have something wrong or it could be that you have the wrong shoes and they don't fit you correctly? I have issues with my feet so I have to be careful of the shoes I get. Sometimes when I'm trying to save money I get the wrong shoes and sometimes I luck out.

THat's great! when I got my period on a normal schedule I was excited too. I was always on a 40 day cycle and since starting Metformin back in January I have lost close to 50 lbs and my Period started to become normal 3 months ago. WE are hoping that in one of the next few months we will be pregnant we have been trying for…

Love it! I hate it when people argue that muscle weighs the same as fat! I like your annalogy of your Puppy weighs the same as Mt Kilimanjaro!
-
If you are consistantly using your scale at home it would not matter weather it was off or not for your weightloss. I assume that you are not going to pay a quarter every week to weigh in at the mall, so I would just forget about what the mall says and keep with what your home scale says.

Do I work with you? I have people who do the same thing. Most of the people on my team eat in the cafe I bring my lunch and eat while working because I go to the gym during my lunch hour but no one looks down on it.

Welcome to the group. I like you had thought I had it, but, I didn't want to confront it because I thought that I had it because I struggled for my weight my whole life nad that I did it to myself. So once I found out that it was actually the opposite that the PCOS contributed to my weight I felt much better about it.…

Thanks you. I hope you finally find someone good too. It's so hard to find a DR who knows and understands PCOS, that when you loose them it sucks. This DR was the first DR who didn't just say loose weight, she gave me the tools in which to do so successfully and be able to keep it off.
-
have you mentioned this to your DR. You could have some kind of condition that is causing you to have the hunger. I was just like you alway hungry and was trying to figure out what was wrong with my nutrition that I was always hungry. Turned out that I was insulin resistant and that was why I was always hungry.
-
I know it is not fun! I was going to ask my DR to refer me to an Endrocronoligist and I was woried how she would take it, it probably is a great time to get the referal since she will be leaving.

I have been trying to cut out processed foods ever since being diagnosed and have seen a huge difference. Thanks for sharing!

I started Metformin in the midle of a cycle, my period came on day 35 instead of day 40 where it was at, thet next month my period came on day 32, and now I am staying around day 32, I got confirmaiton last cycle so the 2nd full cycle on metformin that I was ovulating. But everyone can be different, I have found it easier…

Welcome! It is nice to have other's who understand your struggle, especially since it is harder for us to loose weight than other's. Weight has been coming off for me pretty quickly right now but I am working my butt off for it and being diligent about what I eat and tracking it all.
-
I agree with the above. I eat any where from 1400-2000 calories but eat low carb around 90-150 grams each day. I've also cut out gluten and I have been loosing at a nice and steady rate. I would actually suggest getting a second medical opinion because going as low as the DR wants you to go could cause you to go into…

everyone's weight fluctuates throughout the day, even throughout the week that is why most will suggest to weigh yourself once a week the same day around the same time. The first pounds are technically water weight so you may not see a change in inches but if you make your healthy changes into habits you will continue to…

Try eating Real Foods, staying away from the processed foods, don't avoid fat entirely it is true there are some fats that may be bad but there are lots of good fats that you need, fats from Avacado, Olives, nuts, olive oil, coconut oil. I have lost 40+ lbs in about 3 1/2 months by eating real foods and avoiding processed…
