www.skinnytaste.com is a great website with recipe's they have a chicken enchilada soup that I absolutly love! Check it out! I use it lots. I recently liked a page on Facebook called Eat Real foods and there are some recipe's on there I am going to try.

Definantly go to the DR and push them to find out you have to be your own advocate when it comes down to PCOS. When my husband and I started trying and I went off of BC I gained 35 lbs in 5 months! Added to the 65 lbs I already needed to loose! I have been following a "REAL FOODS" diet so Low refined/Simple Carbs. I have…

When I feel like I'm dying while running my heart rate is maybe 150. good to know what your's gets up to. It definantly puts things into prospective.
-
I thought that I saw one time that you were on blood pressure meds. I'm going to record my blood pressure every day and when I go back to the DR have that information with me to talk about going off of the meds!

I forgot about nuts. I eat nuts for snacks too especially when I have a carb crabbing.
-
The snacks I do often are Fruit, Grape Tomato's, Snow/sugar pot peas, sweet peppers, radishes, string cheese, cottage cheese, sometimes greek yogurt but make sure that it doesn't have too much sugar in it. Sometimes some fresh veggies with Ranch dipping sauce. I try to keep it to real foods as much as possible. I hope that…

I'm not a success story yet but I can offer support. I was diagnosed a little over 2 months again. I had started MFP just before I was diagnosed. Since January I have lost 32 lbs, and after going on metformin I have started to ovulate so hoping that in the coming months I will be a fertility success story. There are two…

The one thing I would watch with the sparkling waters is if it has a sugar substitute like sucralose. The artificial sweeteners can cause you to not loose weight as well. The Herbal tea suggestion is a great one you don't have the added sweetener and many of them do not have caffeine in them.

Today was one of my low impact days so I'm not worried about the amount of calories I was just so shocked how much different, I knew the Machines were off and I was never recording the 1000 I was always recording between 600 and 700 depending on how much I sweet. I wasn't expecting it to be that off! But that's ok Tomorrow…

I never had the issue of no periods so I don't enjoy those as you do but I know I never felt the ovulation pains before so it's good to feel that you are actually ovulating! I just need to keep myself now from getting frustrated when I'm not pregnant since it normally takes up to a year to get pregnant so really last month…

Thanks! I knew the machines were over generous so I was recording my workout in the 600's before so I was surprised to see that the heart rate monitor was 200 lower than that. But like I said I don't eat back many of my calories burned because I'm on Metformin for PCOS so my appetite is not what it use to be but it was…

Thank you for your input. I have heard of mittelschmerz but I do not think that is what is going on. I am on Metformin to help me ovulate and I had never had this pain before last month and both months my cervical mucus was higher than I've ever had so I'm positive I ovulated. I was just concerned about if the sharp pain…

Assuming you don't have any underline issues like insulin resistance it will not cause you weight gain for the week. I have an insulin resistance (PCOS) and if I have a really bad day it will possibly cause me to gain weight for the week.

Happy Easter to you too! I'd much rather prefer this kind of egg I guess it's fitting that I'm ovulating during the celebration of Jesus Rising from the dead!
-
Thanks for the confirmation I really never felt this before and I thought it was normal but I wanted that confirmation. I am actually thinking that even though I was always having my periods before I may never have actually ovulated before because this is an entirely new feeling for me.

If you are netting only 150 calories a day your matabolism as probably slown down alot and so when you eat wat you should be eating the 14-15 hundred calories your body is holding on to that. The nutrition coach at lifetime will never allow anyone to go below 1200 calories because of this. Other factors could be if you are…

Sorry for the poorly constructed sentance.

. Birdiephd77 I just found this listing on line for Gluten Free foods. Thought I'd share. http://www.publix.com/managed_pdfs/GlutenFree10117.108335384.pdf

Oh and I agree that we have to ignore the "Fad Diet" to some of the Fad Diets out there like the paleo and low carb diets because we have different nutritional needs than others, and they can tend to be the lifestyles we need. I really try to stay off of the regular message boards for that purpose. Have found that the PCOS…

Thanks for your imput Lupercalia, and Micahroni84. I am thinking that I am going to try the Gluten Free, I already cut out the majority of simple carbs (During easter I have to have a little bit of my easter candy). So gonig Gluten Free won't be a huge change to my diet since January I have lost 31 pounds so I don't need…

Thanks for your imput. I'm not too worried about loosing weight as I have been loosing weight doing lower carb. I was reading up on the beneffits on the symptoms of PCOS and the imrovement of fertility and that would be why I would adjust. I had read that possibly 85% of women with PCOS have an intolerance to gluten.

Look in the groups for a Paleo Group the memebers of the groups should be able to point you to some good resouces.

Thanks for your input. If I do it I would still stay away from processed foods. I have been trying to eat very clean, I know that Gluten is in foods other than wheat foods, I need to learn what it all is in. I think some of the things I eat may have Gluten in them.

I also have many pregnant friends blocked and try not to talk about pregnancy. I am going to try hard to remember my feelings about,it ao if I get pregnant I don't talk all about it on Facebook.
-
Have you been diagnosed, with PCOS? If so has the Dr put yoy on metformin? I felt the same way about women bigger than me having babies before being diagnosed with PCOS. Try limitting your carb and sugar intake for weightloss.
-
I'm not sure if you are considered prediabetic or not but you are ar great risk for getting type 2 diabeties

Thanks for sharing! I'm going ti check it out!

And I know what you mean about how when people try to cheer you up it ends up making you feel worse.

Thanks! I understood what you needed as I have those days too. It's good to know that you're not, alone in your feelings. You can vent to me any time.
