Congratulations to everyone for all of your victories. Because that is what is happening here. Checking-in raises our awareness which will then influence our choices (good choices most of the time  . That being said, I really have come to realize that I have a lot of trouble keeping my food under control whenever I…

Karen, Thank you for starting this challenge. Just what I needed. May 1: I posted this as 20 minutes of dog walking. Actually the goats got out of the pen and I was chasing them around to catch them and get them back in the pen. May 2: Gardening 60 minutes

Had a good day today. Ate under my calories and no major cravings. Progress? I don't know. I spent a lot of time outside working in the yard. Can't stuff my face with a weedeater in my hands. I had been looking for a pair of muck boots for about a year, but none would fit over my calves. Ended up buying short boots that go…

Check in for today: Did not overeat today, YAY Walked the dogs in the woods for about 30 minutes then worked in the garden. I am grateful: 1. That I am alive to 2. Enjoy the beautiful weather that we had here today and 3. that I am healthy enough to walk and try to keep up with 4 my two white Huskies

I would be interested in finding out about this. My son had some dental implants done in Costa Rico. He had excellent care and perks that aren't offered in the US for a LOT less money,

Finally got some nice weather here, so I spent a good part of the day outside, mowing, gardening, cleaning up, etc. I am so exhausted but in a good way. Stayed under my calories today. Drank lots of water, but did not eat a lot while I was working outside. Maybe that is my new weight-loss secret. Keep dirt on your hands…

Stayed under my calories today, but not by much! Did a lot of housecleaning this morning and that made me feel good. I love a clean house and it was pretty strenuous exercise. Tried to get the lawn mower out this afternoon but I tripped in the garage and really jolted my back (degenerative disc disease), so no outside…

Thanks for sharing, Rat. I have never read such a great description of food addiction. I am not sure that everyone who is obese is an addict. That would be a personal discovery one would have to realize for one's self. I certainly see the signs of food addiction in myself. This will require more thought and research. In…

I have spent Saturday afternoon and Sunday cleaning and reorganizing my loft. I am turning it into an office and a lounging-reading area. Previously it was a catch-all and a "I'll put it up there out of the way and take it to the garage later" area. HA! It is starting to take shape and at least I have a plan. My son is…

Feeling more in control today after overeating yesterday on junk food. Don't even know why I went there. Getting a grocery list together for cook-at-home foods. I think that I need to make arrangements to have a meal out. I get tired of only cooking and eating at home. If I arrange it ahead of time, I won't end up eating…

My fur/feather family includes 2 white Husky mix pups Bailey and Lily. The are litter mates who just had their first birthday April 20th. I adopted them from someone who was doing a foster for the Humane Society. I also have two goats, Taffy and Grace. I have had Taffy for two years. I got her from the goat sanctuary along…

One of the things that I look forward to is to not have anxiety about whether or not I will fit into chairs in new places. New restaurants, new friends houses. I have been embarrassed more than once. I also want to ride in an airplane seat without discomfort.
