Blond, your post really hit home with me. This whole eating in the middle of the night thing. I do well, measure, weigh and record my food. I am on track and them BOOM I am eating in the middle of the night. I have to say it is not hunger. It is junk food that I don't eat in the daytime. I try to keep this stuff out of the…

Non scale victories. I feel that my stamina is increasing. I don't have to stop what I am doing quite so often and rest. I still have to rest but not so often. I am getting my garden ready for this season and I have been able to do more work in less time. Also, I have been eating 5 fruits/veg every day and tracking my food…

Please don't let people know how GREAT the weather is here in the PNW in the summer. We need to keep it our little secret! LOL I love the summer here. Although it has been warm for the last couple of days, it will cool down tomorrow to perfect weather for gardening and enjoying the outside. I love summer in the PNW. Just…

I had Caprise salad tonight when we went out for dinner. They also put baby bell peppers on top. A few to many bell peppers for me, but the salad was DIVINE!! First time I had ever had it so funny you mentioned it tonight. Served with warm Italian bread and garlic confit. It was "small plates" so just the perfect size for…

Hope everyone is having a great day. The sun is shining here and that always improves my mood. As for salad, I usually make salad out of whatever is ready in the garden. Right now baby spinach, lettuce, mixed spring greens, scallions, kale raab, and sugar snap peas. I just noticed last night that some of the overwintered…

Checking in this afternoon. Mowed the grass, did weedeating and some gardening. Several hours worth of work. Had a banana and an apple for breakfast, then broke down and ate some Mothers Day cookies. Need to get back outside with a weedeater in my hand, can't eat while weedeating. LOL Three reasons why I love myself 1. I…

Well I weighed in at TOPS this afternoon and I had gained .4 so less than a half a pound. Not too bad for being out of town and with family. I guess that is pretty close to maintaining my weight. I'll take it!

Wow thanks to everyone who has posted here. What incredible insight you have. I too am of the fat=safety because of childhood trauma. I have been thin and I have been and am fat. When I am thin I have trouble with issues of dealing with people (opposite sex) and I have issues of how much space I take up in the world. I…

I hear everyone on the soda thing, especially Dr. Pepper. I gave up soda eleven weeks ago. It is still a struggle for me to stay away from it. I know I can't drink just one right now. Don't know if I ever will. I have given it up so many times in the past and tried to have "just one". I can't seem to do it. So I take your…

Tomorrow is a new day! I rarely get a good night's sleep on Sunday night. Sleep well tonight.

Hope that you are feeling better soon. Allergic reactions are the pits. Hang in there.

I will be weighing in at my TOPS meeting this afternoon. It remains to be seen if I managed to maintain while I was out of town. We did go to lots of restaurants. What I DID do was eat half of what I ordered and then take the leftovers back to have for my next meal. I ended up skipping a couple of meals that my sister…

Sorry you are having such a hard time, Sandy. I think that is the paradox of my relationship with food. The cause of and the cure for my problems being one and the same. Of course the reality is that what makes me feel better in the short-term makes everything so much worse in the long-term. Hang in there.

Thank you Karen, I am going on a road trip tomorrow. I have packed some fruit and water and carrots. Also packed a small amount of dark chocolate almonds so I don't feel deprived. Hope to stay away from convenience stores. Its a six hour trip through the mountains for us four "sisters" to get together and have some fun.…

So you were gone for a couple days. The important thing is that you are back here getting support from people who know what you are fighting. Yes you and your children deserve a healthy you. Try to find the non-scale victories. Healthier eating, a little walk, whatever you can do and focus on making the baby step changes.…

Love the non-scale victories!! That is so great! Stayed within my calories today. Did a lot of walking between shopping in town and then shopping for plant starts at the farm. Today was my weigh-in day at TOPS and I was down 2.6 lbs for the week. All in all a good day. Sleep well everyone.
