Me too - I'm convinced it doesn't add in the calories from the ketchups and other stuff they put on. Plus a lot of them such as the burger places, give you the kcals for the burger, and the kcals for the fries separately

However work often involves eating out with clients, so far what I do will be to either a) pick something on the menu that has a close match in MFP - and then estimate the kcals with a 25% increase as sort of a bit of room for error or b) try…

ah ok! thanks. Anyone any tips on how to maintain a sensible routine. I think I can get the fat down with exercise and a calorie deficit but would like to avoid losing muscle and eventually get some more.

Could be that you are building muscle in certain areas - so the fat keeps coming off but with that workout programme you are actually getting stronger denser muscles.

Eggwhites! scramble em, or poach em. I had some myself this morning. Taste great with a blob of salsa on them. Protein pancakes - or protein nibbles home made, have a look at the recipes I posed in the recipe forum. Really easy to do. Protein shake - nuff said.
