Don't be ashamed, kids are cruel. Especially when they haven't been taught to do better. Tell you son you love him and how proud you are of him, but he shouldn't fight to defend you. Tell him word don't hurt you. Stay motivated. You have lots to be proud of(I can tell) :-)
