This. I've been lactose intolerant since I was a kid and I'll be 46 on Tuesday. I use almond milk when I want cereal for breakfast. And I use coconut milk sometimes in a morning smoothie (spinach, frozen fruit and anything else that sounds good). I enjoy a salad at least once per day. Good luck.

I can definitely tell the difference! Hell I've lost 23 pounds, gone down 2 pants and 1 shirt size, and only one person has said anything. And the funny thing is after she said "have you lost weight" she immediately said "oh it must be the stress" A few of us at work are using MFP so they're aware of the loss. But those…

I'm a pretty independent person and get more energy from solitude than groups. However, as someone whose dog of 9 years died 1 week ago, I can say that I dearly miss her. I'm not in a relationship at the moment and I'm quite good with that. But the unconditional love from a pet is something I want to always have in my life.

Very inspirational!

Hellerrrr!! When I reach my goal I'll be so damn sexy they'll have to call the po po! Get it girl!

Cayenne pepper is used in the 'Master Cleanse' to help with metabolism. On the other hand I've found that being very aware of the actual calories I'm consuming, staying within my target range and ensuring that I'm active have made the difference for me so far. I'm no expert. But I'm sticking with what is working.

I'm saving that recipe! And I've spent a lot of time on skinnytaste.com now. This weekend I'm going to take my crock pot out of its box (that's right it's still in the box from when I bought it a year ago) and try a couple of recipes.

Oh it's totally a bottled sauce! I'm a lazy cook most of the time  It's from a local chain called Green Mill. They sell their Diablo wing sauce and it's a favorite. ( http://greenmillfoods.com/sauces/diablo-marinade-and-wing-sauce ). It's not that hot, though. My mother was an AMAZING cook (southern food) so on…

That sounds great. I have a favorite sauce I use for wings. I'm going to check the nutritional values and just might give that a shot. Thanks!

... off to check out skinnytaste.com!

I would *love* more ideas. Just yesterday I was looking up low calorie crock pot meals. I work a LOT and don't have much time to cook. I was thinking I could toss something simple in the crockpot and it could be ready when I got home. These days, I'm eating a lot of salads. And as much as I love them, I'm sure I'm going to…

Looking GREAT!!!!

My diary is open but it's kind of boring. Green smoothies with protein powder EVERY morning, salads for lunch usually and whatever will keep me at my calorie target for dinner. I'm here every day though and am inspired by positivity. So I'll be happy to throw a few words of encouragement your way. Anyone ... Feel free to…

I'm hooked on my nutribullet. I'm so hooked that I packed it in my suitcase and took it to Hawaii with me on vacation. It's my absolute favorite kitchen gadget.

I just started today too! I've been walking/jogging on the treadmill daily for a month now and was looking for a little structure. I want to run outside once the weather warms up. (I'm in Minnesota) So I tried C2-5k today and it was great. Who knows .. Maybe one day I'll sign up for a 5k run.

No problem!

Truth!!! I'm going to be on level 2 for a while.
-
I did day 6 of level 2 today. BUT I did level 1 for 14 days. I really wanted to fully be able to do all of the exercises without feeling like I was hit by a truck before moving on. Starting out on level 2 was tough but I'm feeling much better already. All in all, it's more like the 45 day shred for me.

You can add me. I'm just a tad shorter (5'3") with about 80 lbs to go. I'm here every day!

I worked my way through my emotions. Instead of eating poorly in reaction to a disappointment. I showed myself and my body a little love and respect and had a healthy dinner. I'll rest well tonight, deal with the issue head on and start a new day tomorrow with my regular workout.

Welcome! I haven't been here very long but I love this place. And 30 is not yikes :). You're so young! Lets go!

I have the same thing every day for breakfast. But most of the time I used to skip breakfast all together. Now I have a green smoothie (spinach + fruit) every morning and I love it. The only thing I vary is what type of frozen fruit I add.

After 14 days of level 1, I did day 1 of level 2 today. It kind of kicked my butt. I wasn't feeling that great when I started so perhaps I should have waited. I'll give it another shot tomorrow. Because although I made it through the 20 minutes I didn't do all of the exercises. From the way I was sweating you'd have…

I really like her! I'm on day 15 of 30 DS. And last night I ordered Body Revolution. As soon as I'm done shredding its on to the next series. I'm thrilled with the amount of strength I've gained in such a short period of time. And I LOVE how short and effective the workouts are. Because even on an extremely busy day I can…

Yesterday I did day 8 of level 1. I took one rest day so I've been at it for 8 out of the last 9 days. I feel pretty good and can notice a significant difference from when I started. But I'm not sure I'm ready to move on to level 2 just yet. This might be the 45 day shred for me!

Thanks for sharing your story. I believe you can do it and I'll be more than happy to lend support. Congratulations on deciding to be HERE. We're all in this together.

Hi! I followed the link from the thread and here I am. I'll be 46 in a few weeks and have a lot of weight to lose. I'm on my way with 8 pounds lost. I'm new here and love the positivity on this site. Today will be day 4 of Jillian Michael's 30 day shred. And since I live in Minnesota it's all indoor exercise for a few…

I'm in! I'm currently on day 3.... Heading off to shred now.
