I have bought several bottles of Skinny Girl. My daughter (over 21) likes it but I was not too crazy about it. I just bought a Margarita flavored Crystal Light at the grocery store the other day. I am going to try and doctor that up with a shot of Tequila and some fresh lime. (only calories you would have would be in the…

we do sweet potatoes a lot more than we used to. It's a carb but if you read different articles it is one of the "good" carbs. We also do brown rice and I will mix in sliced almonds, sauteed spinach, shaved carrots and some dried cranberries. Very yummy. Also you could do grilled veggies. A little pasta salad probably…

some places will make sushi with brown rice. We try to go with anything tuna and stay away from the higher calorie more fatty salmon (I know its good for you) but I do try and watch my calories too. We also try to limit the soy sauce due to the salt content. We stay away from the tempura and usually anything with cream…

I just stay away from it all. Unless, there is salad or veggies or fruit. I may induldge in a couple pieces of cheese but for the most part I just stick to my own lunch.

good for you! Its a start! I too just started running (jogging) and I am working up to run my first 5k. I started by jogging for 40 seconds with a 20 second break. I would do that five times then walk for 5 min. It does get easier each time. I just jogged for 13 minutes straight without stopping and went a whole mile. I…

I love to know how close the two are. When I am on the treadmill it does give the calories that I burn pretty close to the MFP. I may be on the treadmill for an hour..I am jog part at 5.0 and walk the other at 4.0 But overall when I am done if I have gone 4.5 miles in an hour then that is how I put it in MFP as walking 4.5…

wow you look great! You are very motivated! Keep it up!

Good for you! Best of luck to you! I just signed up to do my first 5k...(I wont say run my first 5k) I am just hoping to run more than walk

I agree with most of the posters...I need to switch it up every day. If I ate the same thing every day I would get bored and I know I would start to cheat. check out recipe websites and try new things. There are lots of great recipes out there. For breakfast I change it up between cereal, oatmeal, egg beaters/egg whites,…

I make burrito bowls, similar to Chipotle. Yummy! Add some fiesta corn...I just take frozen corn and add a chopped up jalapeno and I also use chicken with a fajita seasoning.

just made this on Sunday...very easy and very good!

Well someone told me - wont say who but just say they are a very close family member - that I looked like an F-ing Jelly Donut. (in a very heated argument) Those words hurt very bad and something I will never forget. But, I do have to say that I think it has been was pushed me to finally start losing weight and changing my…

I just made one of her recipes on Monday...Orichette with Chicken Sausage and Broccoli Rabe. (I know the spelling is not right) it was very easy to make and it was so good. Low in calorie and the best part was that both of my kids loved it as well. That recipe is for sure a keeper.

feel free to add me as well :)

you can add me.

I find that just by logging in my food everyday makes me accountable. If I know I have to add something on my log that is bad it really makes me think twice about eating it. And, not only do I get personal satisfaction after a good workout but I find that it is such a plus when I can come home from the gym and log in my…

Too quick to lose that weight. Setting a more realistic goal will make it much easier to follow. MFP will most likely assign you about 1200 calories per pay. I have been doing 1200 calories per day and working out on average 5 days per week for nearly 1.25 hours each time for over 4 months now and I have only lost 30 lbs.…

I would add the sodium count to your columns. You may want to cut back on the sodium as it seems you are eating a lot of processed foods. Chinese carry out has a ton of sodium. You may also want to incorporate a bit more fruit and vegetable in to your diet and a bit more protein. I didnt see your exercise routine but I…

Just wanted to say Good Luck! I am very envious of you folks that can run! I am just now getting into it and signed up for my first 5k. I am the say way...I dont want to win, I just want to finish.

I'd like to follow this post to because I have been the same way over the past two weeks. I have worked out 6 times in the past week and been within my calorie count +/- 100 calories. And, when I work out I am there for over an hour switching it up between cardio and weight lifting and two of those days I did circuit…

You want to raise your heart rate, the higher it is the more you burn...you can work it up, work it out the work it back up again. Make sense. I wouldnt do a cool down on 1 dvd then move to the next. skip the cool down. We do circuit training at the gym with a trainer and its all about keeping your heart rate up.

I just started regularly walking/jogging on the tread mill so I wanted to get a good pair of tennis shoes. I tried the Asics ($100.00 a pair) and they absolutely tore up by knee joints so bad. Glad that Finish Line had a 30 day guarantee. I just bought the Nike Air Max ($150.00 a pair) I love these shoes. They are so easy…

First off, congrats on the weight loss! We have been working with a trainer and he says that it is better to change it up. He said you will burn more calories that way. Pushing yourself a little harder increases the heart rate thereby burning more calories. Again this is per our trainer at the gym. I personally am not an…

I am bad with weighing everyday. Sometimes it makes me feel good and makes me want to work harder when I do see the weight drop but it also keeps me in check when I see the weight go up. This week has been tough. Last Thurs I weighed 183.4 (my lowest) Monday I was up two lbs, yesterday a lb and again today another lb. How…
