No, you should be flattered! My accessories were/are great, but in retrospect that was really the only thing anyone ever pointed out- ever!
-
Until I lost weight, I didn't realize how much I used to get complimented on my accessories. Nice bag! I love your scarf! Now I get compliments on my actual appearance. It's like people wanted to say something nice, so chose something totally unattached to my actual person. It's kind of a bummer in retrospect. Also,…

Why not just add peanut butter or something to your protein shakes? There's nothing magical about shakeology that will 'fill you up' longer than whatever calories you can put in your blender yourself.

Tiny chocolate. Dove promises, a frango mint, bite size milky way- those range from 25-80 calories. You can probably find a bit of room for that :)

The "dairy industry plants" Oh my gosh I am dying right now. Seriously, this is solid gold, the word logic next to such blatant conspiracy nonsense. God, I wish I was being paid by big dairy to sit around reading this crap on MFP.

Wow, this is tough. I think a concern might be that if you essentially talk her into it, she's still going to have to do all the hard work of maintaining her weight loss while keeping herself healthy after surgery. The post-op life is no joke.

Enjoy your candy bar. Should be a Milky Way Midnight, though. I don't know what "chocolate calories" are, but I am still certain that a Milky Way's chocolate calories are better for you.

That's not wildly un-reachable, but it is a tight goal, and it might lead to some bad decisions- like putting "fast" above "sustainable" or "healthy." I would suggest going for 30-35 pounds, or choosing a clothing size rather than a scale number. ETA: I see that you're looking for feedback from people who have met their…

The way to look your best, and feel your best is to eat at a moderate deficit, do an exercise you love, and spend the next 5 weeks feeling good about your abilities and your goals. If you spend the next 5 weeks crash dieting and working out like crazy, you are going to look like a tired, cranky, washed-out version of…

I put out my fruits and veggies and got ready to juice, but then I remembered I don't have a juicer and that I was hungry so I ate them. Is that ok? Then I ate some yogurt, too. I'm pretty sure it all turned into a smoothie in my belly, so I'm counting it as a juice.

The "right" foods are the foods you like that help you hit your macro goals (carbs, fats, protein) and that you like to eat. Since you're feeding 4 kids, I'll bet you already have an awesome variety of foods you offer them, so just keep eating your smaller portions and log everything! If you find it hard to get in veggie…

Line up all the fruits and veggies you are going to juice and then eat them throughout the day. Add some protein of your choice, , some fats, and you're good! You can put some of those veggies in a mac and cheese, or dip them in hummus, or saute them in olive oil. You can even put some of that fruit in a pie, whatever! Log…

MLMs put the cost of advertising on their distributors, which is one of the reasons that most distributors never earn a profit.

This is good advice, and reminds me that I need to start tracking fiber, too!
-
Sugar from both are fine, focus on your overall macros. If it bugs you, OP, stop tracking sugar and just focus on hitting your carbs goal instead.

Gorgeous! Great work :)

The only thing you need to be doing right now is logging accurately! You don't know if you're eating 13-1400 calories unless you are weighing, measuring, and logging everything you eat. Do that so you have a solid understanding of how many calories you're consuming, so you can track what works! You're off to a great start,…

Wow, that's a big change!
-
Change your goal to one pound a week, eat a a moderate deficit, and incorporate foods you like into your diet. As you get closer to goal, you'll want to drop down to .5 pounds a week. It will take some time, but you'll feel great and look great :)

Not really, I find that a lot of packaged nutritional info is listed wrong on the database, anyway. It's pretty easy to build a meal/recipe from scratch, though.

This is so true! I went from a 24 at 320 pounds, to squeezing into my 22s at about 290, and then I suddenly fit into a 16 at about 260 (all same brand). Now I'm in a 14 at 235. Now I have to transition from plus jeans to regular, which I'm actually a little nervous about :/

The realization that I could still eat donuts changed my life. Not even kidding, it literally altered everything I felt about food and my approach to eating/losing fat.

Only bake when you have company, feed them to your family, eat one and freeze the rest, take them to work, take one piece and sit down and make a big production of it, so it feels like a super-special treat.

I love this!

Gorgeous! Keep up the good work!

I have never done Paleo, but I would advise in general against listening to your trainer about nutrition. At all. They are there to help you kick *kitten* in the gym, and they have no business directing your diet. Question your trainer's credentials and motivations- are they a registered dietitian with a degree? is this…

"last lowest" is all I ever pay attention to. If I saw a consistent gain it would give me pause, but I ignore daily fluctuations and go by the last lowest number- until I get a new lowest number :) ETA: like others, I also keep a separate weight-tracking app for daily fluctuations.

Would it make sense to switch your meals around, so maybe you would have your smoothie or something at noon, and your "lunch" at 10 pm? Or have a bigger meal at 3, and save 300 cal or so for an after-work snack? Just try not to be boxed in by what type of meals you are "supposed" to have at specific times, and go for when…

You know what's wrong: not weighing food, not logging everything. That's all you need to do to get a clear picture of what you're consuming. As someone else said, it's dedication, not motivations. Just make it your job to measure and log accurately until you find success.

That is awesome! Even more than the jean sizes going down the fact that my thighs suddenly fit in skinny jeans was a huge NSV for me, so i feel you!
