  • As long as it fits into your calories for the day, it should be fine - it does have fat but it's a good fat and it also has protein. I'll usually have whole wheat toast with peanut butter for breakfast at least 1 day a week.
  • I cook it in the microwave in a paper bag too - I put a tiny bit of olive oil (just enough to lightly coat the kernels and some salt - that way you get salty popcorn with a light flavor and not a lot of calories.
  • I love the look of corsets but with my boobs being so huge I'm not sure one would ever fit - and I can't really afford a custom one (most are like $600+) so I'd have to buy a costume-y one somewhere - maybe when I lose the weight. I don't want to waist train, I just want them for fashion.
  • My mom wouldn't shut up about my weight - so, no, I wish actually she'd said nothing about it because it was nonstop and I'd hide food and eat and every time she said something it just made me want to eat more. My dad and brother never said much but they're overweight too so it's not like they have room to talk.
  • I started at 273 in December so I was well on my way to 300 lbs - I've lost 31 lbs since then (22 since joining MFP). Good luck in your journey! Feel free to add me if you like. :)
  • Yum - I know what I'm having tomorrow!
  • I'm only going to be a size 0 if there's famine in the land...
  • Scottish accents are hot. I hear David Tennant speak and I just wanna....well...that's probably not an appropriate topic to discuss. ^.~ Also, English accents (if I had one I'd never shut up - although, that's not much different than how I am now), Australian and Southern.
  • That is wonderful! So glad you are getting healthier by the day - keep up the great work! Stories like this always inspire me. :)
  • I read in a Reader's Digest article one of the big rules is "Don't drink your calories except milk" - a little fruit juice here and there is good too, but anything over 6 oz a day becomes a sugary drink. So this would add things like sodas, lattes, mochas, and even some smoothies (some smoothies have tons of calories and…
  • There is NO need to be embarrassed - you've done an AMAZING job and you look FANTASTIC! :)
  • I'm hoping to get to my goal weight before going to San Diego Comic Con in 2014 and I'd like to cosplay as Rapunzel (Disney version) - I have my eye on this perfect dress and I'm hoping I can buy it for my costume. :)
  • What the actual heck?! Most women kill themselves at the gym and eat less to have a body like she did before. I have been heavy (273 at my heaviest) and believe me - it is no picnic! Everyone has the right to make their own decisions but I have a feeling she will regret this one (if she lives long enough). Also, she needs…
  • I was going to suggest those too - delicious! I especially like the peanut butter ones! I get the "fun size" candy bars or packages (lately my craving has been M&Ms) - about 70 cal - I pack them with my lunch to take to work so that's all I have (I can't go in the pantry and get more). It satisfies my craving.
  • That's gotta be a good feeling to get rid of too-big clothes - I know I'm about 20lbs away from a whole treasure trove of clothes in my closet fitting again - I can't wait! When I lost a bunch of weight before one thing I didn't think about buying was new underwear until mine were practically falling down...lol - so,…
  • Lately it's been anything greasy - like deep fried or I ate at Famous Dave's for my b-day and that didn't sit well. Also the fake movie butter on the popcorn makes my stomach queasy (I still eat it sometimes anyway because it smells so good). I think it's that I've been trying to cut these kinds of things out of my diet…
  • I have cheat meals every now and then where I don't worry about calories - I used to do it weekly but then it would turn into a cheat day and I'd cram everything bad for me into that 24 hour period. I usually do a cheat meal every 2-3 weeks usually when I go out with friends and then I work out a little harder in the days…
  • I've had no soda for 4 weeks and I'm still having cravings - particularly when I go out. Like today when I went to the movies, it was hard not to get soda and I brought a small bottle of that Crystal Light flavoring to put in my water.
  • It's great to want to get fit and I wish you success in your journey. My main motivation is getting fit and being healthier too, although I would like to drop some weight, I know I will never be a size 2 - I'm just looking forward to being a size 12 again - that's perfect for my body type. We're all built differently and…
  • I'm doing one now and it's great because knowing your team is depending on you keeps you on track - not sure if your challenge is teams or individual. But wanting to win is a good motivation and even if you don't win, you've lost weight and gotten in better health and that's a prize in itself.
  • I'll add you, but let me know if you don't get 10 friends - I'll grab a fork and join you! :)
  • The only thing I've cut out is soda - otherwise, everything in moderation.
  • I love potatoes - must be the Irish in me - although I don't eat them too often, when I do it's amazing!
  • The green tea ones are good (if you like green tea) - they have a very mild green tea flavor that goes well with the wafers. I'm not a fan of regular Kit Kats but I enjoyed them. Haven't tried any of the others.
  • We have those at our YMCA - they used to be just like the ones in the picture and my co-workers and I nicknamed it "Cyber Death" - they've since replaced them with fancy Precor models, but they're still a killer workout.
  • After my workout today I went to the local cupcake shop and ate a strawberry-lemonade cupcake and it was good. And while I'm so far coming in under my calorie goal (and likely will since I worked out for 2 hours) I still feel a little guilty and it's good to get this off my chest.
  • I usually get my lunch packed the night before so I don't have to think about it in the morning - I might do a sandwich or wrap. I cut up veggies (carrots, celery, cucumber, bell pepper) on the weekends and keep them in a container in the fridge so I can just grab some and put them in a baggie. I will usually also buy a…
  • Mostly water. I was drinking more soda than I needed but I'm now doing a weight loss challenge at the local YMCA and I gave up soda for the entire 8 week challenge - we've almost completed 3 weeks in. It was hard at first but now I'm beginning not to even miss it. In the meantime, besides water I found from Twinnings (? I…
  • One food that keeps popping up in my diary is Pop Secret's Homestyle popcorn - especially since it only has 140 calories per bag (I used to think it was more, but I won't argue with MFP) - I've been eating it almost every night for a snack. 'Tis Tasty! Also lately I've become a huge fan of bell peppers or especially the…
  • As long as you stay under your calorie limit, you will lose weight even if you eat all those calories between midnight and 6AM - while your metabolism does slow down a bit while you sleep, it doesn't do so to the point that a later meal or snack will make that big of a difference so long as you are under your calories.
