  • i'm right there with you! my oldest has a girlfriend that i can't stand, she's got 3 kids and is a horrible mother, they fight all the time, and have a horrible relationship. i've discovered that all you can do is sit back and keep your mouth shut. thankfully, mine doesn't live with us (he had to throw him out a year ago),…
  • i really hate to work out, and due to healthy issues i can't work out. but i can walk, just a little bit at a time. so i got leslie sansome's walk away the pounds. a mile takes about 15 minutes, in my living room. it's fast, easy, and when i want. i burn some calories, and when i'm doing losing weight, i'll look good. so,…
  • pepsi and chocolate, although i'm doing good with resisting the chocolate...but i'm addicted to pepsi!
  • 5'3", and i want to get down to 125-130. that's healthy for me!
  • about the only exercise i CAN do is walking, because of health issues. and if i can manage to walk consistently, it's the perfect way to lose weight. and, when i'm cooking or doing dishes, i crank the radio on and dance! anything to move your body burns extra calories without costing anything. when i can, i walk on my…
  • could you please make the motivation a swift kick when i start eating? LOL i'm in, gotta lose all this medicine-induced fat! i was here before, but lost all my motivation...help?
  • hi, y"all! i'm Betsy. i was diagnosed about 5 years ago now, not only with RA but OA and fibro. needless to say, exercising is a major production. but, today, i was thinking, i feel pretty good these day. think tomorrow i'll start walking the dog again! i have 2 rotties, and the older one and i used to walk a lot. so we're…
  • i do the wheat bread, whole wheat preferred. i'm trying to get off all things white, so this is where i started. now my whole family prefers the wheat bread! :)
  • wanting to look good again is a major goal for me-i want my man to be proud of me again!! the baby steps are important, and they do lead to large results. i totally agree with weighing less at the end of the week than i did at the beginning-that's a cool way to look at it. welcome, and you can add me if you like. i also am…
  • it's hereditary! my dad's family is all big, and i'm just like them. reality-i was the same size as my little mom, until i tood prednisone for 2 1/2 years, and packed pounds onto my already overweight body! now, i have to attempt to work it off. reality-it IS very hard to exercise when you have truly bad joints. but there…
  • beautiful sunny and warm phoenix az! feeling so glad i don't live in wisconsin any more!
  • happy friday, everyone! my goals yesterday kind of went out the window, due to a bad reaction to one of my meds so ended up sick all day and half the nite! so, today will be better!!! drink more water!!! exercise!!! more exercise! no work, so that can't be a goal. :) have a great day! betsy
  • ok, i did meet all of my goals for yesterday, but was a litle late for work due to a sick horse. but, the horse is fine (silly horse!), so life goes on. today's goals: drink more water! exercise work do some housework...ick! make better food choices-no snacks! so, today will be a great day!: :D
  • i never lost the "baby fat" after i had my second child, and my eating habits were horrible! then 4 years ago i was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that partially crippled me. i could barely walk, let alone work out. i've always loved walking, and when i've lost weight it's been from walking. not being able to walk…
  • well, i did drink a litle bit more water i did walk more-actually did 15 minutes without killing myself, and i was still able to walk afterward--i'm so happy! and i did stay within my calories! today's goals- drink more water! go to work! exercise just a little bit more. make better food choices. i've already spent an hour…
  • hi! i'm betsy, and i'm new to this whole daily goal thing. it seems like a really good way to get on track, and stay on track. maybe this will help me stop eating so much, and exercising more! today i will: drink more water walk more stay reasonably close to my calories! have a good day everyone!
  • i have severe rheumatoid arthritis, and my joints are all a mess! therefore, exercise is really difficult. 6 months ago the doc said i had to lose weight. well, i couldn't exercise, but i did cut to 1200 calories a day, and lost about 20 pounds in 3 months. so, yes, diet without exercise can work, if you stick to it! i'm…
  • i can't live without my fruits and veggies! an apple with breakfast, bags of steamed veggies for lunch and dinner! and usually an apple or 2 during the day, and other stuff if i have it! at least half of lunch and dinner (most of the time!) is veggies. it's the only way i can fill up on something good for me!
  • hi! i'm just joining, and doing my walking right now with my horses in the training pen. have the first 2 walk away the pounds dvds on the way, so will start serious workout when they get here. sandy, i'm sorry for you in the snow! we've had such nice weather so far...but i just know it's gonna get colder and rainy! i know…
  • hi! i saw some of your posts, and, WOW! now i have to get a dvd so i can start doing this walking. it sounds like so much fun! i will be going to the store later today..my exercise for today is riding my horse. we're going on a trail ride with the neighbors. the weather is perfect, sun is out and it's fairly warm…
  • welcome! you can do it if you really want, and are willing to work at it. we're all here to cheer you on!
  • our main meal is at noon, due to our work schedules. so when i get home, my "dinner" (actually lunch!) is a peanut butter sandwich and an apple. if i'm still hungry, a handful of almonds works well, or a container of yogurt. sounds like you might need to give yourself a bigger meal in the evening? good luck! betsy
  • when i'm really hungry between meals, i grab an apple. the fiber and natural sugar fill me up, so i can wait for dinner or lunch.
  • congrats! you can do it, you'll get where you want to be!
  • i think the hardest part of dieting is giving up the foods you really love. that said, why give them up? incorporate them into your daily calories, and you're not giving up anything! an extra helping, or going out to eat once every couple of weeks won't hurt, as long as you stay reasonable close to your daily limit. good…
  • i'm new, too, and need lots of friends to help me keep on track! please add me-as soon as i figure out how i will add y'all! :) thanks!
  • i'm new too, and hoping this method will help me stick to the plan. good luck! betsy
