Keep water by your bed. As soon as the alarm goes off, drink some water. This will get your body working before you even get out of bed. If you want to get up at 6, set the alarm for 5:45, give yourself a few extra minutes. Not saying to lay in bed the extra 15, but at least prepare for it. Also, I dont know how profusely…

I am going to suggest that you are working out too much. I am not going to suggest you dont like working out or that mentally you cant handle it, but I might suggest that physically your body cant. That might be why you are struggling with sinus infections. You look healthy in your pictures, already on the thin side. I'd…

I dunno...but I just looked them up and they look good. I am going to try them. I dont know about a salad, but maybe some eggs or something.

listen to brownsugababe....they ask you to confirm the info when you pull the product up...just say it is wrong and fix it.
-
Jammyone...I like how you think. This is exactly what I was saying. Thanks for making me feel like I am not taking crazy pills.

Any number of reasons...what are you doing to lose weight? Have you adjusted your goals? Have you varied your routine? Sometimes you need to shock your body out of a plateau. What is your current routine?

This is exactly what I do. It positively reinforces me...kinda like an AA meeting. Also, I eat. There is no reason to not eat, if you are sitting around thinking about food, then eat, but make it healthy and make it count. I eat all day long. Seriously, only like 25-30 percent of my calories are consumed during meals. I…

I don't get it though. If everyone agrees that we shouldn't eat chocolate, then why should we feed it to other people? I figure stomp on the box in front of whoever gave it to you. Tell them that they should be ashamed of themselves and tell them that next time you want some broccoli crowns or a head of kale!

Lace it with a mild bowel irritant and then eat it. When it makes your stomach hurt and you poop your pants, you wont want it anymore.

For people that are doing high intensity interval training...really busting their *kitten*...working at like 90 percent to 100 percent max, yeah, you need to eat before you put that kind of strain on your body. If you are just getting back into it and your workout is going to be 10 minutes and you want to shock your body.…

I am in no way an authority, but I would suggest that it depends on the type of exercise you are doing. If you are lifting, I would eat before and after. If doing cardio, I always eat after and I wait a good while after if possible. Consider that when you wake up in the morning, you have nothing in your stomach to burn and…

YES YES!!! THIS IS WHAT I LIKE TO HEAR!!!! I was explaining it to a coworker who didnt really seem to see what I was saying. I told her that I can eat whatever I want 1 day a week. On that day it is an indulgence for my body and my mind. I have to worry every day about making the right food decisions working out, etc. If I…

That was my belief, too. I figured it was healthy to give myself a bunch of fat calories and what not to burn through so my metabolism doesn't get used to always eating low. That was the response or a response contrary to that is what I had been hoping for the whole time.

That is NOT my motivation.

I am going to troll this post for a minute...just to lighten it....and say that I generally enjoy reading your board posts and what blog entries I've read, BUT....trolls don't live under rocks. They are generally under bridges or in caves. Just thought that I would point that out...other than that, if you would like to PM…

I can see that. I am luck that it has the reverse effect on me. Eating bad food on a free day makes me feel like crap the next day. I wake up dehydrated or feeling like I have to poop in my pants. I begin to associate the bad food with feeling bad and as the weeks progress, I generally eat less of those bad foods even on…

Cristy, I see your point and I think that maybe I tend to generalize and apply my situation to the situation of others. I weigh 177 lbs and my goal is to lose about 20 more. When I get there I will see how I feel, but I think that I will start feeling better and almost normal again somewhere around 162, so I am only 15 lbs…

Notice I am not calling it a "cheat day", I call it a "free day." A cheat day is inherently bad. A free day is not. And I completely agree with what you are saying about long term goals and deprivation. If I resent the fact, on some level, that I cant eat something or have something that I want, then it is self-defeating…

Did they ever explain why it wasn't a good way to lose weight? I do it and when I put my mind to it, I can get the weight off pretty effectively, but I have mentioned it to people and some suggest that it isnt healthy. I can't see why it isnt and they dont know why it isn't, they just feel it isn't. @Karleen...try gorging…

Umm...nothing about eating trash...but I can tell you that I can't have an open box of cereal and an open container of soymilk in the house simultaneously because I somehow convince my brain that soymilk and cereal are COMPLETELY healthy and I wind up devouring half a box at a clip. Also, I don't destroy the whole box with…

Hold your nose when you pee!!! And I vote for the Foreman option. Nonstick spray it, cook it up, a little salt and pepper, and a dash of olive oil.
-
That is awesome!!! Keep up the good work.

What the What?!?!? Did you just say that a whole wheat bun from Chili's is 360 calories?

I am seeing this as well and I just started tracking my food two days ago. I don't get why there are like 5 different entries for strawberries. I would like to think that I am eating: Fruit-Strawberries, but I picked them up at a local farmers market, so I might actually be eating Generic-Strawberries.

I appreciate your advice and concern :) Thanks for taking the time to respond :) I think that what I will do is try to work it out on my own, give myself a couple of weeks/months on here to see if the calorie counting and the food journal works and go from there. I would like to believe that healthy monitoring and seeing…

Yeah...I have to get another one. I had a really good Polar watch monitor that did a bunch of stuff. I had it for 2 years and it just stopped working. Weird lines starting popping up all over the screen. I didnt feel like dropping another hundred and something dollars on a piece of equipment that would crap out in another…

This works well. What I like to do is leave out the butter and add olive oil and maybe some garlic. One caveat, depending on how your body processes the cauliflower, you might want to start out with small portions of this stuff. It tastes awesome, but it gave me cramps and craaaaazy gas.

@ MzBug...I always tend to stay away from meats. I eat them, they are just something that I tend to view as pretty unhealthy alot of times. I feel like I am moving much closer to being vegetarian...not hardcore, probably pesco-uovo, but generally a much more limited meat intake. Two weeks ago I decided to visit a farm…

How much of 'not hitting the calories' do you think is subconsciously on purpose and how much do you think is really not being able to eat the food? Having struggled with body image and growing up Italian and in love with food. I feel like potentially a portion of it is always falling back to the mentality that less food…

It starts me out at like 1400 and change, but when I wake up in the morning I do cardio for 45 minutes and the elliptical says I am burning 600 calories. I plug that in and now I am supposed to eat 2000 calories. 2000 calories is super easy when you are eating big macs and taco bell, but cut most meat out of your diet,…
