In situations where I have completely gorged myself on crap food, I get the poops. The time they mention it takes for your food to process to remove the liquids, etc. does not appear to happen in those situations. I like to imagine, accurate or not, that the abbreviated time in my belly and the "fluidity" of the process…

Thanks for all the responses again. I have a HRM. I might just start playing around with it to get a real baseline for myself and daily caloric burn. @Ripper...thanks for your personal experience. You are a better man than I am in the patience department. @Genialynn...Without much weight to lose?!?! Thanks for the…

5'8"....195 lbs... 160 is my goal

and is 1400 a stupid low number?

I appreciate the responses. Just so everyone is clear, I understand how the ACTUAL math on it works. I get the caloric deficit for working out, I understand that if I am allotted 1400 calories and I burn 800 in a workout, then 2200 calories would keep me on track. What I am saying is doesn't working out everyday effect my…

LOL...don't pretend I didn't say 1400 because that is what they are giving me!! I want to pretend that I didn't say 1400. I know that the real exercise that I do increases the gross calories and that that ultimately increased the daily number, but a guy who sits around all day and does no exercise should inherently burn…

By the way...marmite is the worst.

The taste wasn't bad. It just wasn't pizza. I commented to my wife about it and how some members here said it was a good "fix" for a pizza craving. I guess it is a fix in as much as you will need to spend 2 plus hours throwing it all together and then realize you just wanted to eat a bag of mozzarella cheese. I made it,…

Maybe it is just me, but I think that the Sugar Busters is probably the most underrated diet out there...and if that didn't work for someone, I would be surprised if the Hay diet got the results. I mean, Sugar Busters is clearly better.

Which time?! Last time it was getting ready for my wedding....I dropped 30 lbs. The time before that was getting winded when I danced...I dropped 24 lbs. This time it was hitting 199.6 lbs. My low weight two Mays ago was 156 lbs. Since then I have gained more than 40. Each time I drop, I lose my way, forget my manners,…

I completely disagree. I think the analogy is a horrible one. A more accurate analogy would be one in which someone goes to a library, but chooses not to read the books, and instead asks other people to summarize the books for them. Those people would prefer cliff notes. A person who wants cliff notes or crib notes or…

This is craziness to me. People have a hard enough time keeping themselves motivated to eat healthily without working about someone else pooping on their parade. Listen...you are doing something that you feel you need to do for you. Your man should be supportive of that. I am not passing judgment in the least, but the…

I am going to second Ackeebee and the use of romaine lettuce. I am also going to second IntenseRSX04 with the baby spinach. Kale can be rough. So can dandelions. I would suggest starting out with greens that are less bitter and then adding things as you get more used to it. This morning I had baby spinach, a banana, and a…

Whichever ones my wife wants me to.

Don't cook them yet. You will find that the ones you boil 2 weeks from now will be better than the ones you boil today. Fresh eggs are hard to peel because insides fill the egg and stay connected to the membrane. As they sit, the insides will shrink a little, pulling them away from the shell and membrane and they will be a…

Calories ARE calories, but that doesn't mean that the food containing them is equal. Eating 500 calories of butter does not yield the same effect as eating 500 calories salad or whole grains. Eating constantly is also not a bad thing. Eating throughout the day, staving off hunger and bad impulses, building healthy food…

It ain't good. I'll say that much. I mean those calories you are taking in are completely wasted garbage calories. Processed carbs, sugars, etc. and minimal nutritional benefit. Try snacking on veges and fruits. Grazing is a good thing, I think, if you are grazing on the right food.

I am telling you...get bigger shoes!!! Seriously!! I do elliptical all the time. My feet were getting numb. Loosened laces and upsized my sneakers a half step. Made a world of difference.
-
GET BIGGER SHOES!!!! When you work out, your feet fill with blood. You shoes are too tight and are constricting them. Get a half size bigger on the shoes you are wearing for the elliptical. It helps.

wait...are those your lower cal ingredients or the original? what is YOUR twist?

I am potentially going to come off as a d-bag here...sorry if people don't like what I say, but I will be speaking the truth. To call the guy a scumbag or say he isn't worth something if he wouldn't have been attracted to the old, heavier you is absurd. People have preferences and you can say all you want that someone is…

Grated apples, vanilla soymilk, and a touch of brown sugar....awesome-o!

What is even worse is when you start looking at the labels on stuff, speaking of fake. I started just looking at ingredients...I don't want to eat half of the stuff I have in my fridge!

Eat more veges :ohwell: They don't need a whole lot of prep and some of them even taste pretty good.

Are all of the x's replacing punctuation? I feel like I need a decoder ring.
