  • I highly recommend The Mark of the Lion series. Three books written by Francine Rivers. Set in the time when Rome just sacked Jerusalem and the beginning of the Christian movement. Riveting, heart wrenching, wonderful. They are big books, but I could NOT put them down. I have had numerous people read them and they all…
  • I'm in the middle of a book by Liane Moriarty " The Husbands Secret". Gotta say, I'm loving this book. I highly recommend. It's hard to describe, just PLEASE check this one out!
  • Pillars of the Earth is probably one of my favorite books. Was actually thinking about re-reading it. Even though it is an enormous book, I didn't want it to end! I love Ken Follet's books!
  • I just finished "Me Before You" by Jojo Moyes. Wow, I really enjoyed that one. I highly recommend to anyone. Currently, just started "American Assassin" by Vince Flynn. My dad has wanted me to read the entire series for quite sometime, but just haven't gotten around to it. Vince Flynn just passed away this week.
  • Could the book you're reading be called "Let's Pretend this Never Happened" by Jenny Lawson? If so, VERY FUNNY book!
  • Yes, I would like to right to say when and how my life would end. Especially if there is unrelenting pain, or eminent mental deterioration where I would have no idea who is who and what is what. Perfect death would be to fall asleep and never wake up. But if I linger, I would want to be comfortable in my own home and…
  • I really loved The Fault in Our Stars, sad but funny. Would like to read more from John Green. I'm currently reading Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire (just the first 3 chapters) don't know what I think about it yet.
  • Yes!!!! Love all of her books. Her next one comes out on 7/2/13! Can't wait!
  • I read the book this weekend. Wow, lots of twists and turns. The ending was, for me, anti-climatic. I REALLY wanted someone (you know who) to pay for their deeds. But still very good read.
  • My great dane, Maximus, will go to the back door, scratch it, indicating "I need to go out, please". I get up out of my comfortable sofa, walk over there, open the door for him and then he goes back into the living room and takes the exact same spot I was just sitting in. He wanted my spot and knows I'll get up when he…
  • I have to agree. Christopher Moore is hysterical! Loved Lamb!!
  • Started Ken Follett's "A Dangerous Fortune", enjoying it so far. I like anything he's written though.
  • Why hasn't anyone mentioned Kresley Cole's series "Immortals After Dark", there are something like 8-10 books I believe. Very good series. Sexy, funny, action packed, great characters throughout the series. I highly recommend her books.
  • why not. Just remember to pull the rip cord. Enjoy and take care. Friend's reply to me when I told him I was going with another friend as he's trying to talk me into skydiving.
  • Just started watching last night.... Thank You!!!
  • I, too, am a 40 somthine mother. Your success is very inspiring! Way to go.

  • You are the reason I keep coming to these message boards. You are hysterical!!!! Keep the stories coming. I'm pretty sure you could get a good Rom/Com script out of these posts.
  • I just had to google this Colin Egglesfield you mentioned. Oh MY!!!! Why have I not EVER seen this beautiful specimen before now. Yes, I have to agree with you, he'd be a perfect Christian Grey. Oh my!!! Just got a little warm, that's all :blushing:
  • Grilled cheese sandwich must be paired with tomato soup. Peanut butter and jelly sandwich must be paired with plain chips!
  • Yes, I read it and the second book. Heard they were thinking of making it into a movie, at least the rights were sold. Don't know how that will get released based on the subject matter and explicit things!!! Not the best written book, won't go down in history as great literature, but damn, it was a fun read!!
  • I'm the same way, and I always put on a channel where they talk low and there's no laughing, because if there's laughing I'll need to see what they are laughing about. just the voices makes me sleep. Then I'll wake up around 12:00 or 1:00 and turn it off. But I can't fall asleep without TV on.

  • I read two of the "Spying in High Heels" and laughed so much. They are pretty good aren't they? I've got to get back to those as well.
  • I finished Fifty Shades and the second book in the series. Don't think I want to read the last one. I'm currently reading "Poughkeepsie" and I'm loving it. I also just bought the next book in the J.R. Ward series "Lover Reborn", going to get to that one next.
  • Oh, it's GOT to be Love Shack by the B-52's!!! Everyone belts that song when it comes on, admit it!
  • I've read Pillars of the Earth and World Without End, you don't have to read them together, they are separated by 300 or 400 years in the same town, other than that, all the characters are different! I LOVED those books. Now my two cents on the Hunger Games. They are good books and you should read them before passing…
